OK, you people are SLOW! I need sleep! Power was off here nearly 4 hours. No worries for me, but Hubs scurried home. Do you have ANY idea what we look like in a flashlights flare? I left him in the dark, fed my mules, got my stuff done, then lights came on. He has 'the look'. WTFIGO??? He's going to work at 5 or so tomorrow. I deal with this daily. Night all. Going night night.

I'm sorry I've been MIA. I have been so terribly sick, can't even keep sprite down and can barely get out of bed. This is either the world's longest virus or my pace maker in my stomach has stopped working. We are leaving in the morning back to FINISH the house, so please pray for me. I have a doctor's appt Thurs to check on my pacer, so hopefully WITH YOUR PRAYERS, the doc can fix me and God will hold me up for the next 2 or 3 days. We are staying at the deercamp since my brother is at his condo, so I won't expose anybody if I am contagious, and we will get much better rest in his beds. Only problem is there is no internet service. My phone will work, so please call me if anyone needs me. Good luck with the interview, MB. I love each and every one of you. Wow - well, I go to work for the day and come back to lots of news - mainly good and some bad! the bad first - Vicki - I am so sorry you are so sick - I have never heard of a pace maker in your stomach - I am obviously missing something - or is this an American thing?? Anyway hang in there and good luck with your doc - can't you get in before Thursday? That is days away!

Bird - so pleased the op was a success - but now just rest and let nature heal you. Prayers coming your way from me and a big hug too!

Biz - LOL - and a good night to you too - so pleased that you talked to Rog - and Rog - really glad that you got some work even if it is just a little job - it is something and that might set the ball in motion!

Jan - WAY TO GO getting the third interview - as Ruby said, don't talk to much about the hair (even if you do) - less is always more!! Sorry I didn't have better news for you from daughter. What time is your interview tomorrow? I need to know - it is important so I can send all the right vibes!!!!!

Tony - So thrilled for you re the appt with the VA - that is also wonderful news for you. things are really looking up for our family. Any idea what you want to retrain for?

I did get my boot thing off and wore my clogs today and my foot tonight is painful - I also have some bad news. the doc told me that I should NOT ride my bike. He said that I have no strength in my ankle (I start the strength training for it tomorrow at PT) and that it is up to me BUT !!!! he said it would probably take about a month before it is back to full strength. I was SO BUMMED. I had thought as soon as I could wear normal shoes again that I would be able to ride. He said that I wouldn't be able to hold it up if it started to fall and that I could easily drop it. I am NOT a happy Bean. (my nickname from my sister for me is beany). BUT, apart from that everything looked good. It will be winter before I can ride my bike. grumble grumble grumble, mumble grumble.

Ruby - I don't understand WTFIGO - I understand the first bit - and I thought I understood "The look" - but you deal with that daily????? maybe I misunderstood??

Nora - I heard that you had had your hottest day ever recorded - poor you. ours was chilly enough for me to kick the heat on first thing just to take the chill off!! I think Autumn has arrived in Illinois. (hoping)

Panny, all I KNOW is country! :H There is 1 store within 10 miles in any direction from me, but my mountain house is such a respite for me, because it's away from tenants, Hub's work, responsibilities, and it's in the center of a major artist community. Bird, the 'Indigo Girls' played 3 miles from here last weekend, plus everywhere you turn, there is someone performing wherever there is a mic!
Sunny, it's WTF Is Going On! :H Surreal night here, really.
The thunderstorms here aren't long, but seriously intense. I've watched lightning strike trees from my windows, but this all happened AFTER the storm passed, and the sun was shining. One after effect: It's been in the 90's the last couple of weeks, but I opened the windows I could yest and I'm FREEZING now. Probably only low 50's, but that's COLD for my strawberry Kool-aide blood!
Would probably not have crawled out of my covers so early, but my morning dreams (which are always SO juicy!!) were interrupted by the phone, and an upchucking Gracie. So, I have company today

I pulled my hair up and curled it in ringlets and kind of teased it...it's cute and kind of helps hide the calico thing.....
