ok back and well couldnt do any test to the canoe but theres always monday .. had a good time at little billy's birthday party and he was happy ... and sue had a good time and well tomorrow i get to helpout a friend and well really she's helping me tou ...i get to work on some elec,plumding and this and thats .home repairs. fun stuff .. well good to see everyone doing thier best and yes even you vicky.. glad you are back and doing what you need to for you sorry the renters did that to you .. talk to ruby she might be able to help you get the law invol... well enjoy everyone and stay strong and keep shifting forward love and hugs

Vick, I hope you signed something about their rental. If not, it will be difficult to get the rent, but you NEED to call the local police and file a criminal damage/theft report. You may get nothing, but they will have a record, and when checked, can't do it to anyone else. And you may recoup some of your loss. There is no place, unfortunately, in this world for a handshake deal anymore. A contract protects you both. We can pray for the best, but be prepared for the worst, only. If they cut and sold the timber, damaged or stole from the house, it is a criminal matter, theft. Do the next person they try this on a favor, and file a report. I don't care how nice they seemed. The unfortunate thing I've learned the hard way is that people will lie, and take advantage. I have everything in writing; every check, correspondence, attempt to contact. We, as owners, have to be more conscientious than they do, legally. Sad, but true. Once mine have proved themselves a bit, we relax our rules, but never drop them.
I started out believing everyone was like me. NOT! And thinking you'll absorb the loss is no favor to anyone (be sure to claim it on your tax filing, since you pay the taxes on the property, plus depreciation). The next person they hurt may not be able to come back from their deceit, and you may be their savior, protecting them from a loss they can't afford. Nail 'em, sugar.

I am NEVER EVER EVER going to rent anything to anyone! The horror stories I hear from all of you have put me off for ever. We did rent out our house when we went to UK from here for three years when Hubs was in the military. we were obviously very lucky - we had a chap from a local estate agents deal with it for us and had no trouble at all but I am beginning to think we were the exception to the rule. Vicki - I am so sorry for all your trouble with your house! Gosh, if it isn't one thing it is another.

Ruby - your sewing sounds beautiful - bet she looked a dream in it - can you post any pics of anything that you sewed? mine were just drapes!!!

MB - please put a pretty picture up!! that one will give me nightmares!!!! Talking of which - having just got in from work, I need to sort Maggie and then get me ready for bed. I had a long talk with a very religious friend of mine...actually I cried and she talked.....what stuck with me is this......GOD HAS A PURPOSE FOR YOU CHILD. Morning all!! And a lovely morning it is too! Got to bed at 12.30 and Mags woke me at 5.30 to go out so I stayed up ! So I am definitely up and running this morning. Will probably collapse in a heap on the sofa this afternoon!! Mb - not sure how long I will be able to look at that pic!!! It really does freak me out!

I agree with your friend Jan, that we are all here for a purpose, we don't know what it is but everything is for a reason - we just have to try and work out what that reason is - you being on this site may have helped others, and you wouldn't be on this site if not for AL. You give support to so many and your hiccup of late is just that - a hiccup, and you will get back on the path. You are going through a lot but God only throws at you what you can handle. MB, I'm so glad that lady came into your life. I'm amazed sometimes, when I do by nature a small kindness for someone, and they are SO grateful, tell me it's the only nice thing that's happened to them in a while. Every step we take leaves a footprint. I don't worry over every movement I make, but am trying to make kindness just a way of life. It is so much easier than fretting, holding grudges. I'm unhappy with the way I've gone on about my own personal problems lately. Business is one thing, becoming emotionally involved is another. Well everone I am here at the beach. The wind is pretty steady but the water is very warm!! The waves have realy flattened out not a lot of current. Tony how is MD? My sister says calm on the Eastern Shore. Sunshine this book (Key To Yourself) Is deep sometimes I get lost however Iam enjoying it but it is A chalange!!
