        Just got back from a couple of errands. I'm SOOOOOoooo glad this festival and the miles of yardsales is only once a year. I believe half the people in the state are on the hwy to my house!!! I bought Hubs and my dinner, wonderful smelling BBQ ribs and chicken, (from someone I've known for years; no adventures with food on the side of the road for me!), dodged the people who lose their friggin' minds when they come to the country, swerved around those who think it's OK to park on the hwy with 2 wheels still in the road, on both sides, effectively making it one lane, the looky looks, slowing, craning their necks, looking, then stopping traffic to make an illegal U-turn. ARRRGGggghhhhh! But the weather is absolutely gorgeous, leaves are turning, no humidity. The smell of woodsmoke in this bright sunshine, blue skies, awwh! it's heaven!!

            I hope everyone is having a GREAT LABOR DAY! Tony, I'm so sorry you have hurt your back. Rog, so glad you got to do a little work, I know how you love it! We are off to hit the lumber yard sales and hopefully find some paint on sale to paint the old house. Still not sure what to do with the place. I love you all so much. Thank you for your prayers.               SOS......The funny thing is I did'nt feel a thing till later on in the day....then it hit like a ton of bricks ! I even went out with youngest son and did some shopping and came home. After dinner....wamm ! I've always have had Muscular problems in my back from lifting weights and football in my younger days. ( Screwed up my back once....now it flares up every-once-in while) Tony

                Vick, have fun! I'm leaving to brave the circus monkies driving cars in a minute, have to drive through the heart of the beast to get to our property adjoining the festival! :H
                WooHoo! Just picked up my stuff I bought from neighbor; spent more than I intended, but have a BEAUTIFUL, heavy set of 'fire dogs', either for the cabin or for my daughter, who has 2 fireplaces in her new house. Also, a lovely oil painting (dated 26 years ago) of a lovely barn in a field. And original movie poster of John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John in 'Grease', but my BIGGEST treasure, my knew food processor. It had never been opened. Last week, while making jam, I thought about the one i was using, that I bought 20 years ago, used, from a little old lady renting space during the Festival weekend, from my mom, and how great it has been. But I'd like to have one at the cabin. When I got this home and opened it, it's the exact same brand, with some upgrades, and I paid $5 more for it than the first one. I didn't buy any useless stuff; I zero in on the good things when I'm looking, and am crazy about the antique portrait I bought Saturday. I've studied it, and decided it's a man in an army uniform, probably from the 20's or 30's.
                Not a good picture, but a snap of the portrait. He has such a sad, wistful look, on his face, and I don't know where he ended up, since he was military, and why THIS picture of him, not posed, was so important to someone. But he is remembered in my house today.

                  WOW! This is the deadest day I've ever seen here. :H OK, Tone, T, Vick, Sunny, Pan, Vick (did I miss someone?!) we've been here to keep it going. Where IS everyone? Here, and on the whole site??
                  Pray all are well, but we miss you. I've had another wicked crazy day. Grace has named me 'Figalonia' since we were out picking today. :H Who knows where it comes from?? But I'm back out to my cleaning, and I'll be here if you need! Thanks, others, for your support. Love to all.

                            I am home from the woods.....neighbor had to shoot a water moccasin this morning but it wasn't as big as the one here, Rubes....that place is prolly an hour due east of the lake house...

                              SOS.......We need to have fellowship....with a church or AA....what ever is around your town. It's hard to be the voice that cries out in the wilderness !
