Just spent 2 hours with a rental couple, she's imminently pregnant. They LOOOOOVE the house, the quiet, the country. Like with all my renters, I handed them the keys and said, "Welcome Home".

All 3 are popping in by phone, by dropping by, by wanting to get moved in, and I'm still exhausted from all the travelling. No complaints, just trying to get meself back up to speed. Can't imagine how complicated it would be by drinking during all this!!

I've not seen much news lately, but did catch the info about the American, Sarah Shourd, being released by the Iranian government, after over a year (410 days). While it is definitely a political ploy, and one made to extort money from the US, I just have to wonder WTF ANYONE would be doing hiking in a war zone, causing this whole chaos. Maybe I'm missing something, and I don't want to be insensitive, but aren't there enough places to visit without putting themselves in danger, causing political problems, costing countless dollars to tax payers who are intelligent enough to take a walk in places where they will not be attacked, imprisoned? While brave people need to bring out the word of government atrocities, why deliberately instigate political tensions, for the sake of adventure? We are responsible for our behavior, and the torment of the people who love us. Now, after $500,000 was paid for her bail (which will disappear like smoke), she must return for trial of espionage, or her 2 male friends lives are endangered. I'm sorry, but it's just stupid. And the other two will probably not come back without a LOT of money, and acquiesences by the government, when it should never have happened to begin with. For what?? So they can appear on TV shows? Write a book? Be forgotten this time next year? Sorry. I'm just not feeling forgiving for people who invite their own disaster, and involve others in it.

It's the way I feel about people who get in to dangerous situations just to have an 'adventure', that ends up costing a fortune to rescue them, and endangering the lives of the rescuers. It continues to amaze me how little common sense our younger generations have. Again, sorry to rant, but DANG!! Why does the rest of the population have to pay for the insanity of the few?
