    GO YOU JAN - THAT IS WONDERFUL !!!!!!! I can't do much more of this you know - it is killing me waiting to see!!!!!!!!! It all sounds as if it is going well - oh gosh - now we have yet another wait - what are you trying to DO to me????? Well, I guess we will be blocking the air waves again Thursday morning eh???? Way to go Jan - I am so proud of you!!

            My daughter told my SIL once he needed to be careful with his words, as I was very particular about the English language. I'm not a prude, when people misspell, etc., but I REALLY hate when people use words inappropriately, like 'conversate'. It has become a slang word now, beginning to be accepted, but it is not a real part of our language. Misspelling is normal. Missusing is not.
            Maybe 20 years ago I read an article about pronunciation. I have always lived in the South. Have lived with the ridicule of our language. I've been corrected, laughed at, but it never bothered me. In this article, it was stated that the arisocratic pronounciation of the English language was brought to the South from England, while the slangs of the other part settled in the North. This is not a defference, just a possible explanation about why we sound so different. But we were ridiculed for so long, and I grew up with that. I'll never talk differently, and I hope no one else does, just to fit in. Now, our 'sandy roads and barefoot boys' (a quote from someone from New Jersey in the 60's) are coveted. I ADORE the country life. It's disapprearing too quickly, though not so much now with the recession.

              I'm slowly but surely teaching the folk with whom I work how to speak correctly!!!! They are slow learners some of them - but we are getting there. LOL

                OK, another gripe!! Had to run over to the (only) convenience store, within 8 miles, and the young, sloppy, woman in front of me had on obviously her pajama bottoms, house shoes, and a T-shirt, no underwear. WHAT?????????? When I was a very young girl, women didn't go to town without white gloves on. Now I KNOW that's not the norm now, but PLEASE!!! Pajamas!! At 6:30 PM, in a public place?? Females, where is our pride in something of appearance?? The Indian owner of the store just shook his head when she walked out. The world has changed, but we still have to to think about how we appear.

                  Ruby - I SO agree with you! When my brother was staying with me back in March, we were going to run to Wal-Mart - and we had been out in the garden - and both of us went and got changed! I laughed at him and said "wait and see the way the rest of them are dressed there!!" I so agree with you though. I am tired people and am going to start getting the dog sorted and me sorted and whatever done that needs doing and get to bed! love and hugs everyone,

                            :H Panno!! I think I know that guy!!!
                            I'm starting to feel somewhat human again after the hustle of the last week. Please tell me, people, your lives are as hectic as mine!!! This can't be normal!? Finished walk-through with 1 tenant, paid up, keys handed; 2 more to do this week. Have finishing up to do on the other 2. Had a tractor come do some clearing and smoothing on 1. Too many other things to mention. Tay working evenings to finish cleaning.
                            Son had a gastroscopy Monday, was out of it all day yesterday. Will get results later this week. He internalizes all the stress the B**** ex causes him, but he's the only one who can change that. Making him some chicken soup for later, poor baby.
                            Have one week to finish up everything here; bro and sis pressuring me to buy them out of their property, but bro keeps suggesting I trade my part of our commercial property on the by-pass for the swamp with no road frontage! NOT!! I'll buy him out, maybe, never trade. That commercial property is my ace in the hole. Convinced my sister to hold on to her part too, though I know she was being pressured to sell and needed the money. Anyway, have babysitting gig weekend next, so more road time, probably with all the girls and their friends.
                            I'm convinced I can only clean my house with a blowtorch now; have much to do, and feeling up for it today. Unfortunate I've never learned to accept help. But enough (or WAAAaaaay too much about me!:H)
                            Thanks all, for letting me unwind here. Need to go do my yoga, meditate, then chase squirrels and crows off the porches. Hope to hear from everyone today saying your day is starting off well. Please vent here if you need to. It's cathartic just to write it out here, and helps just to unload. While no one can fix all our problems, it's great to be able to spill it without guilt!!
