well im trying to look beyoud this little set back and im trying to understand ...guess this was the main reason i drank so much before to help me deal with this shit and even after almost three years not drinking shit like this just makes me want to throw my hands up and qiut trying .. maybe im trying to hard ..maybe not enought ... maybe i should just work dirt cheap and let everyone walk over me but i cant .. im better then this .. im good at what i do and i have seen it too many times where they get fuck in the long run ...i dont rob or cheat anyone ...maybe im too honest and they feel they can get over what ever they need .. i dont know and i do know that times are hard for everyone... but why.. when i first met these folks they were in a jam and got screwed from another handyman which didnt know shit .. and i give them a great price then ...and has done a few more job for them .. but anyway ill get past this and move forward i cant go back to what i was before ... cuase the day that happens i promise i wont surive it this time ...and there wont be any coming back ... but life goes on and im going back to my hole and wait for the next call ...

Lot of cheap bastards out their Rog ! Hang in their. I've seen this kind of crap in the Govt......the lowest bidder got the job. I use to raise hell about that and demanded a best quality contract. Rog - your bid was extremely fair - I have a friends husband do some stuff for me round the house and his regular charge is a little more than you charge which is less than most people round here charge- I generally pay just a little under but he wants to charge me a lot less but that is 'cos it is a friends hubs!! Your bid for what they want is very good - don't undercharge yourself - I just lost a drapery job 'cos someone else charged less than me - but it isn't worth charging less when you know you are worth it! I am so sorry that you didn't get it, - real bummer for you.

Just got in from work, checked in and am now going to sort me out and Maggie out and get to bed early. Please hang in there dear Rog - it gets harder and harder for you to do that I know and I don't have any great suggestions. You can't try any harder than you already are trying. Ok we are back from a wonderfull weekend at raystown lake way out above Penn
State. three copules had a blast but fell completely into the drink thank God it was only two nights but I had my fill and more. So time to shift gears get back on the wagon and start over fresh in the morning. Just when you think you got things licked party comes along and somone has vodka and plenty of it. Well it is all my fault I should have been strong enough to resist must be a wimp!!!! don't have time to read posts right now but I will catch up tonight. Take care Michael

Hi there - gosh this thread is quiet. Grateful - I am so sorry that you got hurt - not sure if it was family or work - but either way, please don't let people do that to you. you only feel how you let people make you feel - don't let them have that power over you! They probably haven't given it another thought, whereas you have been upset about it. try and let it go - it isn't worth the angst! i know that I have no idea what it is about but I hate to see you upset and hate that someone has upset you. BIG HUG coming your way!!

Biz - it happens to the best of us (ahem - like yours truly!!). You are not a wimp - that has nothing to do with it. Like you said, get back up and start all over!! I still have yet to start over but I am getting there. this journey isn't easy but thankfully we have each other to talk to and to help along. We WILL do this. one day, we will get there.

Jan - hope that you are feeling better - did you get the garage cleaned out? I have actually hoovered - had to take the hoover apart as it wasn't working very well, but it is wonderful now! planning on cleaning the bathroom soon and yes Nora, I had a wonderful breakfast thank you - with a 90 year old lady who is an absolute delight - I love hearing her stories - she has so many about life in the 30's and 40's. She was in UK when Hitler announced his plan to invade Poland and so had to get back to USA PDQ - she thought it was all very exciting!!

the garage is spotless but I am filthy....we hauled a truckfull of junk to the huge dumpster at my job site....it's nice to pull into a clean garage...we have alot more space...
