    Army Thread 2nd September

You know, when i first joined this site, still drinking in early October 2008, this thread was the first place i came across. I don't know how, or why. It was called the 'AF Army thread' back then, and i noticed some seemingly friendly and light hearted banter from a 'One 2 many', a 'Startingover' and a 'Limer's', among other's, that drew me in like a lighthouse. I noticed these people were Irish, English, some Scottish, and felt at home. I barged in with some undoubtably half tanked womanising, coupled with half pissed dribbling pm's, and was still given the warmest welcome, a man could hope for, wherever he was from.
To this day, i am so grateful, and remain absolutely in awe, of the grace, and kindness, these women in particular, continue to show me, and other people, unconditionally. It is a kind of magic not uncommon to me now, and i am grateful, and happily mesmerised. Ah, some folk make life that little bit grander, non?

    Thankyou. xxx
