hello everyone, just reporting in from the earthquakey old nz, woke up feeling like a giant was shaking the shite out of my little house, a 7.1 quake on the richter scale hit about 30km away. dishies and I are all okay, but the city of christchurch and surrounding areas had a lot of buildings fall down. Luckily no one was killed, probably due to the fact that it hit at 4.30amIt's time I put my big girl pants on. :grannypants: I hope they fit.

Hiya KT, yes a few trainers up the road from me lost their houses but managed to get themselves and the dogs out okay. Still getting heaps of aftershocks, had at least seven since the big one. Doesn't seem to bother the dogs. It's time I put my big girl pants on. :grannypants: I hope they fit.

Good Morning All!
I had problems logging on the last couple of days. I kept half a second of the boards then getting photobucket log-in screen, but it's gone now...
I'm playing football today. The work has arranged a fund-raising match between the warehouse staff (us) and the drivers for a lad that needs ?70000 to go to the States for an operation, though why, yet again the NHS don't treat him is beyond me. Anyway, the young guns have decided that I'm suitable goalkeeping material. (cannon fodder more like). They've got Airdrie Utd's stadium for the day so it should be an experience. The thought of me running out onto a football pitch at 11:30 on a Saturday morning would have been preposterous a couple of years ago, but it's happening.
Have a great weekend guys.

Yes our area got off lightly, we are quite rocky underground which saved us I think. Felt a few earthquakes before, but they hit 100's of kilometres away, this one was so close. I didn't realise how close and was a bit naughty and just stayed in bed thinking this will pass soon, but it kept going, once I had seen that the dogs were okay I went back to sleep and it wasn't until I turned on the tv this morning to see the area half an hour away that I realised that I probably should have gotten under a door frame. It's time I put my big girl pants on. :grannypants: I hope they fit.

morning peeps. another sunny day in spudland. had a great night at a mini arts festival last night. its a whole weekend thing nearby (oh jc, tell ukblonde it was great, in her home town). its the kind of event i would have drank at... and missed it all of course. there were a few people having a little tipple, wine with a picnic or a couple of cans but people werent plastered like i would have been. and i would have thought everyone was in the same state as me. oh how sad, so glad those days are gone....hopefullyToday is the tomorrow i worried about yesterday and it turned out fine
Keep passing the open windows
