arvo here very windy but worked my 2 horses & about to whack a lamb curry in the slow cooker to ferment overnight.

Oooooohhhhhh... the lamb curry sounds delish. I think I'll just have my regular carrot muffin & double latte 1st!

Well, the bakery I buy my muffins from would qualify as being almost better than home-made. The interior still resembles the 70s, and it is run by a Portuguese family.

The coffee is from Seattle, I'm afraid. But their hazelnut isn't to be sneezed at

Good Morning
I'm still laid up with a sore back. Supposed to start back work today but I'm not ready. No point being a martyr.
Despite this painful lapse in my good health, my spirit is high and I look forward to the challenges and promises of a new day - which began at 4:30 this morning as I couldn't get back to sleep after the cat woke me up.

I have another funeral tomorrow. A friend of mine lost his younger brother at the weekend to stomach cancer. He was thirty eight and I've known him since he was 6. Since my mum died a few years ago, I'm finding that I look at these things not so much with sadness, but more and more as just another phase of life that everyone must go through, just that some live longer than others....

Anyhoo, time I was getting my porridge and haggis....and my spinach of course, but not on the same plate.
