and Happy Birthday to your daughter, too, JC.

My youngest was born Sept 25 at six something a.m. She was a C-Section.

She is 29 this year on the 25th. She has three children and two from her husband's previous.

She has a nine year old, an eight year old, a six year old, a fifteen month old and a three week old.

        She is a bit busy.

        More power to her!!

It's nearly 10.30 am here Cinders and I'm being a right layabout, not even dressed yet, but Black Bess is giving me the evil eye as it's nearly time for her trip to the corner shop to get her dog chew.

            JC,

So, we raise the children and love the grandchildren and keep taking care of the dogs.

            It is what we do.

Go get Black Bess her dog chew.

My dog gets "chicken strips" from Costco. He thinks it is his "treat" for existing.

He is a good baby, though. He keeps me warm on cold nights and warns me of strangers at all times. Oh, and loves on me at odd times.

I can't ask more than that.

I think "a bit busy" is just a wee understatement. :H:H Lordy, I can't imagine being 29 and having 5 kids under the age of 10. Good for her. I'd be :nutso:
How many kids do you have Cindi? I have two boys (well they're men by now).

Oh, and I have Freddy. He's our dogger. Call him Freddoccino for short...

                    I have two children.

A "boy" who is now 32.

A "girl" who is almost 29.

They have gifted me with five grandchildren and two step grandchildren.

Family day, every week btw, is pretty fun.

I do get to send them home.

I also get to watch them play, cavort, fight, and grow.

That is amazing to me to watch these days. When I was raising my two I was so involved in being "mom" I forgot to watch the wonder.

Today, I can watch the gift of life.

                          JC,

My mama was the youngest of eight.

Can you imagine that? She was an aunt before she was born.

My best friend was the oldest of nine. She didn't have children when she got married. She said she had raised hers by the time she was grown. She couldn't go in the kitchen without five or more following her in there to eat, also when she was young. Her life was amazing growing up. She did what she had to do to keep them safe, fed and loved.

This raising children is hard work. 24/7 and you can't mess up.

Because your Nana didn't have the birth control options we have today.

Seriously. It seems easy today. Back "in the day" it was not easy.

We are four siblings, three girls and a boy. When we were growing up, our place was never quiet except when we were all asleep. My Mother is a talker so she didn't mind the fuss we made but my Father was a rather quiet man. I wonder how he put up with all of our noise and carrying on...

Zen, do you find the melatonin helps? My doctor prescribed one pill - 2mg at night. Didn't do a thing. I started taking 2 pills to see what happened. Can't say that there's a great improvement. Tlrgs wrote somewhere that he took either 4 or 5 pills to get any effect. Do you really find they make you sleepy. Problem is I'm tired when I go to bed but not sleepy. And I have nights when I only get 2 to 3 hours sleep.
