    Army Thread 11th Sept 2010

A friend of mine is leaving to go back to live in uk and we had a night out last night in a near by Irish Bar, used to be an old haunt if mine, there was a fantastic Irish band on and it was good not to be the mad loon dancing & bouncing off the walls....all the same faces were there and they were still all drunk, saw a few nudges as I walked in, I think they thought I'd left the country.

i have to say, if me and mr spuds were the other way round in age i would have problems. i have dated people a lot younger than me and like mario says i looked ahead and saw potential disaster and never really took the relationships too seriously because of this. having said that many relationships go tits up regardless of age so who can say what will happen. again like mario ive always looked long term at relationship potential, and i cant say it really did me any favors. im 45 and he's 65 and he gets in events and stuff at oap cheap price..... so thats a bonus... not to mention the free bus pass when poor ole me has to pay full price.
My dad was 21 years older than my mum and they had a great marriage for over 30 years. I was 13 years older than my former partner and it wasn't the age difference that ended it. I have lots of friends with huge gaps in age and it's really just not a problem in their lives.

It's a muscle(s) in yer ribs and can sometimes be confused with broken ribs if you strain it/them

Me Granny broke her ribs when she fell off the washing machine. She was standing on it painting the kitchen ceiling cos she couldn't be bothered to get the step ladders out. She was 86 at the time.

prolly jumped off the kitchen bench after she'd cleaned the windows. Honestly she used to stand on the bench to clean her windows, that was about til 4 years ago now me Auntie has to do them while 'supervises'
