I had a bit of a scare today, went to pick up my post (I have to go to a P.O. box) and there was a registered letter from my bank written in Portuguese so I didnt understand it but got the jist that two cheques totaling over 10,000 had bounced!! I was in a right state as I dont use cheques and thought someone must have stolen them or something.

Anyway I went to the branch with my heart pounding, turns out my ex who also has an account at the same branch had written them without funds and I can be held liable for his debt! For now he has transfered the funds to honor them. I tried to call him but his phone is off....
