Tracing my drinking timeline back, that period coincided with a huge spike in my drinking. That was when I 1st started buying hard liquor and not just wine or beer.

I didn't go back, no. I was really ill-informed and didn't know what was going on. I hadn't even realise what the meds really were.

On a more serious note: I was prescribed benzos by a psychiatrist who was also a family member the year Mrs. T and I got married. She gave me a 6-month repeat prescription with just the dosage to take. Nothing about safety or tapering off it or anything. The day they ran out and I crashed... sheesh. I didn't know that I was in withdrawal at that time (too ignorant), but was in a panic / anxiety attack state for over three days.

Shine a light, the Gp's over here are only allowed to prescribe 10 days at a time and that's pushing it. Even when I was on my home de-tox I only had enough to carry me through 7 days and that was tapering and Mr JC had to take any spare pills to work.

Well my 1st and 2nd day of the home de-tox I was on 40/45mg spread out over the day. Admittedly I couldn't lift me head off the pillow but I was aware of everything and drank gallons of water.

On 2mg I could function really well.

You must be tired,Starts, even without the pills. They'll give your brain a bit of rest.
