    6 months AF

    Hey friends,

    Today marks my 6 months of sobriety!!!

    I had to come back and share this with the people who have meant so much to my recovery!

    I'm still doing great and I must say that I've adjusted well into an AF life! It has become normal for me to do things without Alcohol and allthough the odd thought of a drink crosses and the odd craving, am managing.

    It feels fantastic and I'm really so excited.

    My faith is really what has been the special ingredient for me and God has definately been pulling for me!

    It all started with 1 day AF and not knowing how to make the next, so NEVER despise small beginnings!! People who have been AF for 10 years started on 1 day, a day on which they didn't know how to make it to the next!!

    The journey is the goal. As long as you're fighting the good fight and you're not giving up on giving up, you're winning. It's not about how often you get knocked down, it's about how often you get up again. Sobriety the goal for sure. But striving to get to that goal is what it's about. Not getting there. Because the journey never ends. The journey is the goal.

    CONGRATULATIONS ON 6 MONTHS AF!!

    For me 6 months was a huge milestone, once I was over that line I really felt a mental shift take place. Im so happy for you!

        PS - It's wonderful you pop back periodically to check in - might I suggest a new avatar for just such occasions? Perhaps some sort of "Return of the Bacon" theme? It could be part scary/part porky - I think it would be a winner (like you).
