Champion, the Toon won (Newcastle United), shopping done, chocolate cupboard stocked, son and heir home, except he's gone out on the blatter. Got out of visiting MIL tomorrow cos there's no room in the car for me...........contented sigh

Yeppers. Not looking forward to it. Half day only, though. But not even related to what my job really is. Once a month, we have what we call an "outage" - when all systems that need maintenance etc. are upgraded, changed etc. I have to supervise tomorrow's one.

hello..... big night here in my little town. its the lantern procession. hundreds of candle lit lanterns paraded through the town, with a finale of fireworks n stuff in the park opposite me. its a really magical sight. this will be my first sober one. i really cant remember much about the last few years..(theres a surprise) only prob is its pissing down... puts a bit of a damper on things .... and i cant shelter in a pub, well i can but id be too tempted.
