I do work as a translator..spanish/english, but haven't taken a degree, so I can't charge as much.
I have been trying for ages to get into the Uni to take the course etc, but haven't been allowed to as I didn't study secondary schooling in spanish... so I coouldn't get in..

last month I went past the language school and just on the off chance stopped in and asked if I could take the entrance exam....
they said YES.....
so put my name down etc, they told me was to be on the 16th sept at 4pm...
the lady even made sure I wrote it down on the card infront of her....

on the morning of the 16th I called to confirm and they said NO..the entrance exam for foriegners was at 10 am that morning....
I freaked..
they told me to come by anyway and see the head of studies....

I went with my card and steam coming outta my ears..they found my name and of course un ticked...!!!!!!!!!!!
as I didn't attend..
told me I had missed it and would have to wait till next year to do it....
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
my finest spanish came out..........................................!!!!! !

anyway just spke with the director and said they could see that it wasn't my fault and it was a mistake on their behalf...and as my spanish was a higher level that I should go in the morning at 12am to get enrolled and take the exam............................

means a BIG difference in how much I can charge and who I can work for....

have you ever thought about doing something like that chill??
I remember you said it would be hard to get a job as you don't speak portuguese, but how about if you took a basic course, so you could work in torist information of simular.??
