                I distanced myself from Brits when I first left UK I pushed myself to learn, at first Catalan, coz I moved to Andorra first, then to Marbella so my castellano became my first language especially with my children being born in Andorra, Spain & La Gomera..(Canary's Spain)..
                so our home language is spanish..not even sky TV..
                I bet you are prob the opposite..??
                a lot of expats are, that's why they don't learn the languages of their host country..also your social circle is prob all Brits.??
                just as well really..I would be outta a job otherwise..:H:H:H

                      Yep Jan spot on! I live in mini UK surrounded by expats in an area where even the road signs are in English.....:H
