:H:H:H Guess I'm not really up with horse terms, although I love horses and used to enjoy the occassional ride as a child. Yes Fen, Ruby, I meant a feedbag. It's nice and spacious because my face is ever so much shorter than a horse's so there's plenty of room for hairs.
Speaking of unfamiliar terms, I haven't heard of a 'turtle drop' before, but it sounds unpleasant for the poor turtles. As Dos Gatos is peopled by animal lovers (who else would make hair underwear for baby joeys?) and many animals (including quokkas and fainting goats), may I guess that my understanding of the term is incorrect? And what could it possibly have to do with macrame structures?

I will get more into the journey is here thread as time permits...love it from the little I've seen of it, and promise to get more involved.

Mish, the first "turtle drop" took place last spring, in my neighborhood. I was practicing spending a few AF nights during the week. I had a resin turtle sculpture in my back yard that my mom palmed off on me (long story ) and I hated it - so, Mrs. Fennel and I went out walking one night and "dropped " it in a pre-selected yard in my hood.

A couple of weeks later, we dropped off a Tigger statue at the neighborhood pagan childcare center. Any item may be "dropped ", but we refer to it as turtle dropping. :H

Ah, now it becomes clearer. Turtle dropping does not refer to live turtles being unceramoniously dumped from a great height, not does it refer to their waste products.
It refers to the justified and amusing disposal of any unwanted (usually hideous) product guaranteed in giving the 'dropper' at least a little bit of pleasure from aforementioned hideous object.
Got it...sounds like fun. I have a few 'turtles' myself that need 'dropping.'

Ah, yes, sunglasses. Of course. I have a few items in mind (I shall photograph before the "drop" so you can see why) and have a fair idea of where they should go. Being of good spirit, I shall find locations where they will be appreciated and cherished rather than shuddered at or 'accidently' broken as here, and imagine the pleasure of the 'dropees' along with astonishment. However, I have other items...should anyone now wreak my disapproval then instant horror turtle drop shall be upon them.
Thank Mrs Fennel for the sunglasses tip. Wouldn't want anyone recognising me now, would I?

I've had friends sneak in at night to a person's yard who was having a BD the next day, and put up huge numbers of plastic pink flamingoes!! Lots of fun, course around here you may get shot!!
Glad to hear the turtle drop explanation. I was thinking of years ago when a radio station decided as a promo to drop live turkeys from an airplane at Thanksgiving. Their excuse was, they didn't know turkeys couldn't fly. Turkey bombs are a BAD thing!
