Nora, so glad you like our quokkas and fully endorse the idea of a quokka refuge. Perhaps if I approach the Western Australian Government I can receive a special permit to export them to the commune.
Rottnest is a very small island and only supports local flora and fauna (a rarity as it is pretty much still in its original, natural state), so not sure how the chickens, goats and quokkas will get along.
Maybe the quokkas can incubate the hens' eggs in their pouches to increase the (?) flock.
Yes, I know you're vegetarian, but the rest of us might like chicken occassionally.
