:happy: good morning all ......... watching Friends ...... I guess thats the other thing we all have in common any where in the world we can watch re runs of Friends !!!!!! Another great nights sleep! Day 4 !!! Right I'm going to stop going on about me after my 3 appointments this week I'll post about those .... unless after that something goes wrong with my recovery ..... its starting to feel a bit self indulgent ..feel bit chilled this morning so thats good :yay: ..... have a great day everyone ..hope you are all having a good weekend ....... be nice to know the sort of things you do ........ might give me some ideas about how to fill sober time !!!! take care all PM x :groupluv: PS well done Mish new sister of mine!!! :h

Please, PM, don't feel as though you're being self-indulgent. We're genuinely interested in how you're doing and feeling, and this whole thread could be so inspiring for a 'lurker' or someone struggling with the prospect of getting AF from a very bad place. Your story has been inspiring to me, even though it's only been a few weeks since you first posted. I am honoured to be your new sister...does that make JC my Auntie, too d'you think?

:rays: hi all day 5 starts with the autumnal sun streaming thro my window after another goods nights sleep ....... this time everything seems so different to previous attempts at AF ......... going to help friend decorate today and then AL related appointments till Fri ......... dont know if this will help any one new out there ..... or thinking of going AF (alcohol free) ..... but i have got to deal with fear, guilt and other negative emotions by thinking of these days/weeks as my "Recovery Time" where NOTHING else matters apart from not drinking and remaining sober ........ as soon as a negative thought/craving enters my head I just think "Recovery Time" and the feeling immediately seems not important and seems to dissolve! Its a beautiful morning here in Ireland also Pompy. You are right, as I understand you. The stopping drinking is the easier part, its the other stuff that has to be put right if this is to work out. Well done on on this weekend, you are doing really great.
