Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts and prayers. I am off to the hospital shortly and will be there all day. Will let you know later how Mr. Stirly's situation is.

Just read about Mr Stirly's shocking news, and 10 years to the date, last thing you could've ever expected , oh dear Stirl's so sorry for you honey I've lit a candle and pray for his recovery and for you my darling..:h
Give him a kiss from all of us (well the girls at least and a salut from our lads)..!

Starts wish I could do more than just a cyber hug..my candle was lit yesterday and are both in my thought constantly and now joined by our stirlys..:l:l:l:l

Stirly I hope you get good news at the hospital

Starty you are doing an amazing job girl, I really hope you get help asap, my friend that I was just staying with, her Mum died of lung cancer last year and was still at home, they were given an NHS special bed for her and she also had an overnight nurse staying. Re the bathing, is your Mum able to use some baby wipes on herself for now?

Yep the bed is on order but may take a while and the help is on order again may take a while.
She has had a wash at the sink this morning and feels lots better. Clean clothes etc have made a big diff.
Did you have a good time in UK? Bet u are pleased to be home?

She seems to be happy with my care too...ie not trying to get rid of me :-)

Starty, don't you ever doubt whether you are doing it right, you are doing a fantastic job, I am sure your Mum feels so much more comfy with you there because she loves and trusts you.

ps, I think the wipes are a great idea.
