To be honest, by the time I went to vote, I couldn't remember what the menus were like...basically I'd go for the Creole or Italian but I don't mind really

oh, how are we going to pay? I don't care whether we split the bill evenly or do our own thing, but have found it's nicer to know in advance, then there's no awkward conversations...although we shouldn't have a situation where some people drank loads of wine and others only drank water, which is the usual bone of contention!!

I remember spending nearly 50 quid once on a main course and cup of coffee - it was a work thing and I was so broke, but I had to go along with it - rage!!

Splitting the bill is easiest imo but I really dont mind. I dont think anyone has loads of money right now so it will be grand, no beluga caviar ordered.

Anyone drinking AL gets a poke in the eye with a sharp stick from me.

I'm sittin beside Chill an her handbag. I remember years ago at a family dinner out, my sister is the meanest person I ever met and her daughter was sitting beside me, so in a slightly alcoholic glaze I asked her to split the bill and tell us what we all owed. She went off and itemised every single thing everyone had (on paper) and consulted with the waiter on the exact prices and handed us all our bill down to the last cent:H:H. Shall we say - my bill was quite ....em....long!
