You've been doing a lot of thinking, and now is when you can act on those thoughts. >>

    How did they know?

That's it, I'm inspired, and I'm going to go carpe the diem.

Hey there. What an exciting Saturday morning in my life. I went out for breakfast after a morning run. Two poached on multi-grain, juice, coffee, and a tap on the shoulder. I turn to see an old friend. Well it appears that Mike is out-of-work and felt it was divine providence that he ran into me. Well, this poor guy went on and on for an hour. I said, please send me your resume and I'll talk to our folks in HR. What Mike didn't mention to me was that he is out-of-work due to an arrest. He was arrested and jailed for his second DUI. I found out after returning home and calling a mutual acquaintance. SHIT! Anyhow, not to be derailed and let things ruin my weekend, I enthusiastically logged onto MWO and shared my favorite smells in Beagles 'Smells' Thread . Isn't life grand?

Have a wonderful sober weekend all!

        Thought For Day 16

        Solidly on your way
You may be tired, or discouraged, or frustrated, or uncomfortable. No matter what, your best option is to move positively forward.
Hanging on to past disappointments will only hold you back. Taking comfort in being a victim gives you no real comfort at all.

Staying safe by never venturing out, by never taking risks, is the riskiest thing you can do. Because it guarantees that you won't get anything accomplished.

It takes effort to move forward, as well as courage and determination. Fortunately, you are filled with courage and determination, and you are able to make whatever effort you choose.

Yes, you may feel some fear and trepidation, yet courage is not the lack of fear. Your courage gives you the ability to feel your fear, to listen to what it has to say, to allow it to prepare you, and to move ahead.

You know what you desire and you know why you desire it. Set your sights on the goal, and know that you're solidly on your way toward its achievement.

You all right, Procatination and postponement are two major enemies for addiction.
We always plan to give up tomorrow. You know tomorrow may not come if comes, older, energy less, tired,so what we think good must start right now. Otherwise we just get lurking.
I can speak but can't do myself what a shame. .......

                Morning everyone,

Its Sunday morning here in Tas and a most beautiful feeling it is to wake up, bright, alert, hangover free and in love with life...ahh the siimple joys are the best. The best things in life are free...as the song says and that is undeniable. Am in the most amazing headspace at the moment, al free since 21st July and feeling my confidence and committment to sobriety growing with every waking hour. If I could bottle this feeling and give it to the folk out there who have forgotten what it is like, or sadly have never ever felt it...I would and it would be the greatest gift. I am off to run in the park with my faithful dog Saffy, then watch a few B grade movies this arvo...cook dinner for my boys this evening...my life and my heart is full:h I wish my fellow travellers much strength and joy on your own journey, Love Saff:h

Hi folks. Well golf got canceled as two of our foursome received tickets to see the Giants vs. Lions. I wanted to play anyway as a twosome but my friend decided to bag it. Oh well, I'll watch sports. I have some work stuff to finish up too. I have to pack this evening for my early flight to Phoenix tomorrow. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

                      Thought For Day 17

                      Live life now
The joy and fulfillment you seek, are here now for you to experience. If you are not fully present in this moment, when will you ever be?
Don't waste another minute by waiting for conditions to improve. The opportunity to live the best day of your life is here and now.

Embrace this moment just as it is, and taste its richness. Step confidently forward just as you are, and fully live life now.

Obsessing over what could have been or what should have been won't bring you any value. Following your positive purpose in this moment is what will create value.

You are now free from all the limitations you had imposed on yourself in the past. You can now see your best possibilities and act to fulfill them.

There is so much richness right here and now. Open yourself to the beautiful experience that is yours to fulfill.

Love this post Tech....loooovvvvveeeeeeit. Spent last evening trying to impart some live in the moment wisdom to my boys...amidst a blazing row that they were having about the past. old wounds if left to fester, grow into huge chancres on your soul. Unresolved hurt, perceived injustice etc. eats away at the very heart of our being. Oh well they are young and fiery and hopefully with some more life experience they will acquire this timeless wisdom.....It is hard for parents to have to let their kids learn the hard way....would be so much nicer to short circuit the pain that seems to be inevitable in spiritual transformation. Sorry for the heaviness of this post guys. Have a wonderful...present day, Saffy:h

Spent part of the afternoon with my 15 y/o daughter who continually rejects me. The mom just just does not help at all. This is absolutely the toughest thing I have to deal with.

Fifteen year olds can be tough any day of the week, Techie. Hang in there! It's sucks when parents use their children as weapons. My divorce was no picnic, but we didn't resort to that, thank god.

Went to a Patriots game complete with 3 hour tailgate and did NOT drink. :kudos:

Poured my O'Douls in a drink cup and had a fine time. And what a great game, come from behind and 23-20 in OT!

                              Goodnight, all, xoxo Pride
