      Kota, I am SO happy for you. Remember this wonderful feeling, and your optimism about having dinner with your children, next time a craving hits. Life really does have way more possibilities when we are SOBER!!! Good for you.

        Gosh what a lot of people we have here! Techie, thanks for your continuing messages, I really love them.

        It is a stunningly beautiful day here and lovely to wake up clear and hang-over free to be able to enjoy it.

        I have lot of work to get done before I head off on my holiday and I was going to do some of it this afternoon ...... but it is such glorious weather that I am going to be totally irresponsible and sit on my deck and soak up some Vitamin D!

          Morning All,

          Sunday here, woke up early and full of optimism. Sober as a judge (actually thats not such an accurate saying as I am sure there are a lot of alkie judges out there). Anyway committed to staying conscious and present...in the moment is the way to go. Going off for a run in the bush with my faithful dog Saffy. Have a wonderful day my friends.

            Techie your thread broke my weekend binge tradition continued for the last 15 years.wonderful man! "!You know how did it's been possible...that's all of you and specially Doggy,Sheri,Sapphire, Chillgirl,you,Uk Blonde, Mario ,Rubywillow who help me out initially a lot.
            It doesn't mean the whole forum members and operators do not have contribution to me.its all of you..all of you..!
            I had a cup of tea already with my kids n wife at 8.00 am otherwise I would have been sleeping until 12.00 .
            SUN IS SHINING NOT ONLY OUT SIDE BUT ALSO INSIDE MY HEART..
            MOOD UP to 8/10 again.

              Kota, that is simply wonderful news!! Good for you. Isnt it great to wake up clear headed and without a hangover. I bet your kids and wife are very happy to be having a cup of tea with you so early in the morning. You say that the sun is shining inside your heart, well try and keep this feeling with you at all times, especially if you get cravings for al. It gets better and better the longer that you can stay away from al. You can expect to see many many more sunny days and blue skies if you stay sober and work at it one day at a time.                 kota congrats ..... this site has also really helped me!!! been drinking more or less continuously .... not a binger ..... for about 30 years this is the first october where so far i have been sober!!!! come on mate we can beat this thing ...... happy october PM
                I'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round .... really love to watch them roll .... no longer riding on the merry-go-round ...... I just had to let it go

                  How encouraging you are!
                  Really felt fresh this morning.you know I woke up early than others and prepared tea for all.
                  We people are very sentimental so what we have victimized by alcohol .Definitely we have more creative ideas other than average people but they are inhibited by our negative thinking. In alcoholism positive thoughs can't servive and negative thoughts start flourishing, dancing . We only can enjoy when positive one get the victory over negative. Coming or joining this forum we always get positive advise so could be the fuelling for fighting evils.
                  I remember that if we watch,see,hear advertisement of products time to time which we never liked them before , we unknowingly start liking them.We call it Stimulus - Response theory in marketing.
                  Repetition is necessary. ....isn't it? we get it from here.
                  What I mean from above is that we could not get the folks like you in our day to day work so sticking here surely speed our recovery up.

                          Every little step
                          Look around at all the great accomplishments in your world. Each one, from the most simple to the most complex, was completed one step at a time.
                          An ambitious goal is nothing more than the joining together of many smaller goals. The small results may not seem like much, yet they are absolutely essential.

                          For it is upon those small results that the big results are built. And in that fact is a wonderful world of outstanding possibilities.

                          Do not back away from ambitious goals. Instead, look within them and break them down into small, easily manageable components.

                          Complex, massive success is nothing more than small, simple success carried out again and again with commitment and focus. As such, no goal is out of reach when you are willing to invest patience and persistence.

                          Choose your goals based not on how difficult you perceive them to be, but on how much they truly mean to you. When you're fully committed to every little step, anything can be yours.

                                been for a long walk been thro a few parks ...... when i was a kid october was the time when we used to play conkers ..... it was really hard to find them as they had been collected as soon as they fell off the tree or we would throw sticks at the tree to knock them down ......... today i saw that they are just lying everywhere ....... kids dont know what they are missing ...... 1 sound like the old git i am !!!!!! PM x :scratchinhead:
