Speaking of great ocean road, which head's west from outside Melbourne (Geelong) along err, the ocean, Apollo bay, Port Fairy, both west of Warrnambool, is beautiful country too. Gippsland is to the east/sth. east of Melbourne, and also beautiful country. Tasmania is stunning country too, and maybe more bang for ya buck, but feckin cold in winter, but that may not bother you Bridget. I sense a fun and interesting road trip for you Ms. Jones.

I absolutely agree with MrG - if you can handle the cold, Tassie seems to be best value for money in real estate terms.

Missy - I'm in and out for the rest of the evening so I just want to wish you a wonderful, relaxing and contemplative two weeks in Sinney. Apart from the wedding, I hope you and Mr B will have a totally enchanting time. Oh ... maybe give the Qantas scrambled eggs a miss?
