Missy, I somehow got the impression that you were leaving tonight, sorry, couldn't work out why you were still online. But now it's gone 11pm there,so it's tomorrow of course.
Have a wonderful time, and I do wish I could catch up with you while you are here.

Night-ski all....I must rest my weary bonage.

I actually remember the last time I made a total dickhead of myself. I'm going back four years. I was totally and utterly fusked over and actually entertained the idea of selling up here and buying a trendoid little high-rise apartment in Melbourne - just to get out of my head. (LMFAO)

I have no idea what stopped me but ... let me waffle ... I usually wake up while it's still dark and I tell myself that I can't actually "get up" until I hear the first magpie. Currently this occurs around the 6.15am mark. And tonight, as the light was fading rapidly, I again heard the magpies doing their end-of-day warble. I figure they're giving me permission to go hori. Would I have had that sort of alarm clock if I'd gone to live at bloody Docklands?

My point? Don't act on illogical impulse. It is not mandatory to trust everybody. Take a reasoned and precautious step. Make sure you cover your arse but keep your eyes open to the magic which may just lie under your proverbial nose.

          This, I have learned.

North West Coast of Tassie is imho the pick of the crop. LOads of villages/hamlets. Chocolate brown volcanic soil that looks good enough to eat...mild climate.....sea, rivers, mountains, forests all in exquisite close proximity and rooly good real estate prices. MY dream is become a total nomad, when the two youngest leave home..next year....wander around, pull up stumps for a while, move on somewhere else......see and experience as much firsthand as I possibly can....but at the end of my roaming, I will come back home to Tassie

Sounds great Saph. Good to know r/estate is still affordable in the n/west there. I haven't been there for year's. I know it's stunning country.

Evening G. Hows your day been? Mine has been ordinary, simple and above all wonderful. When was the last time you were in Tassie G?

Good day here thank's Saphy. I was in Tassie last about 25 yrs ago, playing a gig in Launceston, then out the same day! Before that was a school trip to Pt. Arthur. Been a long time! A few of us are threatening a bike ride down there for a week or so one day. I've not pushed it cause i was giving up the grog, but now i'd be fine.

I have to ask this G. what do you remember of that trip? I have read about musos who travel the world playing all over the place and not remembering anything about it? Keith Richards comes to mind lol. Things have changed a lot in 25 years. Be fabulous for you to hop on that bike for that trek!

The trip was a fly in outdoor festival gig. I think Simple minds and The Pretender's were on too? Then we flew out soon after as we were mid tour. So i didn't see the city or country at all, just a footy ground i think it was. I remember a lot about gigs over the years, surprisingly. Well, that's my story....i suppose there's a bit i don't remember too. A bike trek to Tassie is on the card's and we'll be bringing guitar's, as 2 of the other rider's play too. Dunno if it'll be this summer, but it'll happen.

Well, i'm orf to bed Saph. I'll catch you later. Have a great evening.

                            Morning all!

Back to the coalface today, and that's ok. After 4 day's orf, it's now 3 day's 'on' at the day gig, and whilst for me, that balance is not yet ideal, (try 1 or 2 day's day gig) it is enriching, and keep's this dopey fecker on his toes.

Welcome to Straya Missy! I know you'll have a blast, especially seeing family!

A safe, sober, and magical day to all, especially you over there just passing through.

In other new's, George Michael is back home from gaol now. He's stated that he's going to get out more, and not feel like a prisoner in his own home. It's good to see that at least something has stuck in his little mind from our conversation on saturday, where i simply told him.....'Mate, just get out there. Once you're out that front door living your life, and just getting on with it, the press will leave you alone soon enough. Participate in your community, and if you smoke and drive, you're a bloody idiot.'
And bloody Justin Beiber's mum has been on the blower too, wanting me to talk to her son cause he kissed a girl in public! FFS! I just told her to thank the lord above, that he wasn't kissing George.

                              Hallelujah!

Hey - are you by any chance on the blower with Kristy Fraser-Kirk? That poor lovey. I'm sure $37mil will go a long way to help her get over the trauma of having her bra strap touched.

Geeesh ... the world's gone apeshit. Apeshit I tell ya
