Gday LILLY, The short non-technical answer to that is : G.A.B.A. or gamma amino butyric acid is an amino acid that is naturally produced by the body. It is a major inhibitory transmitter. It prevents anxiety and stress-related messages from reaching motor centres by filling receptor sites. GABA has been used as a natural tranquiliser and alternative to valium etc. GABA is used along with glutamine and tyrosine in treating alcohol and drug addiction. Deficiency in this is linked to insomnia, stress, anxiety, acute agitation, mania, and other brain and nerve disorders. Lilly, I get my GABA from an online store. There are lots in Australia...in Queensland you can probably get it locally from stores that sell sports nutrition products. It si worth a try. LOve Saffx

I get my times when I feel bla too Lilly.
Today I reviewed all my vitamins, and it was quite interesting. Not getting NEARLY enough B Vitamins for a person with my drinking history, ran out of most of the supps ages ago. No calcium (for me old bones) No Magnesium, which was making me feel heaps better.No liver tonic.

Just silly really.

So I jumped in the Bridgemobile, and in a cloud of dust I sped to the nearest large centre where I spent ages blocking people's progress through the vitamin isle with my big arse.

I took the MWO book with me and made sure I got the closest dosages and proportion to the ones RJ recommends.

I never did do the programme EXACTLY as written (analogy for my life). Still got a few bits and bobs to source, but I'm actually looking forward to a bit of a re-jig.

I reckon we're all rocking it around here at the mo'.

Hi Bridget, I hate this bla feeling, feeling like this for a few days now, Im taking B vit, magnesium, calcium, but have to go out and get the G.A.B.A or I will maybe order it online. I ordered baclofen online a couple of weeks ago, still waiting for it to arrive, it did say delivery would be between 15 to 20 days, so will see how I go with it.I can only but try!!! Lilly x

So - I'm back from Safeway. Picked us up a pack of 20, Family Underwear. Now look - they're non-gender, age or size specific but they were a great price. As they're all the same, I've sent you each a pair - it's in your PM box. They only had them in three colours - I rejected white (see comments re Starty's) black because too many of us have animals with hair on them and settled for the quite neutral beige or "Nood" as stated on the pack.

I propose that on Friday Shower Nights you all drop em in the trusty communal twin tub where they'll get a bit of a cold water boil, we'll spin dry them and you can each grab a freshly-laundered pair as you leave. See the beauty of Family Underwear? No sorting required. One size fits all. Win-win all round.

Yeah. I know love, I bloody hate it too...
But, just an aside. I was only taking Berocca Everyday. It has 15gm of B1 in it. The one I bought today has 150 mg per tab ....I think Berocca is just for your young thing who 'goes out' of a weekend.


Can I ask where you ordered your Baclofen, and how many tabs you ordered to start ?

I'd Google the GABA....I KNOW I've seen it on a shelf somewhere....just can't for the life of me remember where.
