Hello again Underoonies.
Tawny - great to see your lovely face again. MWO just wouldn't be the same without it.
KTAB - I joined FB mainly to keep up with the photos my sons posted of their various weekend jaunts and trips abroad and such and ended up with a whole bunch of "friend requests" from my guys' friends and their cousins. I was quite surprised actually at the number of youngsters (well 30+, mostly) who wanted me on their friend list and now I can keep up with all the other kids as well as my own. And many of them sent me a message on my birthday which I thought was very sweet of them. I don't really use it much but it is nice keeping in touch with the younger generation that way.
Did I read somewhere that Bridget was considering the name Demeter for one of her chooks? If you named your chick that, Bridge - she's got her name day today and is entitled to eat cake and get presents. If you didn't then just put this down to a useless piece of information...:H:H
Hope you're all having a lovely afternoon/evening...inkele:For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.

Evening all,
Demeter here. How are ya's? Not quite 2 years here yet Tawny.
Lilly, you're probably aware of this, but regarding baclofen, Reggie and Tiptronic are good people to talk to about it all, if you were to have any question's, and i know they'd be more than happy to chat about their experiences with you.
(excellent brekkie Missy. I'd chuck some wholegrain toast in there too maybe?)
A marvellous, and safe, sober evening to everyone. Breath the free air!

T. Frog - so great to see your lovely face back again!
Mr G - after workout breakfast is porridge, apricot yogurt and a banana. Is that good enough for ya? :H:H
And have you cleaned your windows yet?
Lilly and Bridge - I was thinking about supps over the holiday. Didn't take any with me because I was too nervous about customs. And I'm not great on taking supps anyway (not only just the right dosage, but what time of day, whether you should have it with food or not etc etc. All just seems like such a massive great effort). But I've been thinking about getting serious about them again as well - they do make a difference. To my depression and motivation levels. Also have a playlist of helpful things on my i-pod ........ some relaxation music, some AA speakers, and Mr G''s songs Spring and early summer is always a good time for an emotional and physical clean up!
Sapphy - I swear you must be related to my trainer!! She had us doing burpees this morning ..... 5 different variations depending on your levels of fitness. Actually she is totally excellent - has a group of 25 women aged between 20 and 60 turning up regularly in all kinds of weather. A very positive person and good at overcoming the motivational barriers!
And hello to Mish Mash, Tip and Starty. Techie - have been restricted in my internet use while away so hadn't caught up with your medical news. Hope you are on the up and up! And no worries about TF going rogue ....... she is the sober-est and most stable of us under-loonies :H:H
Two words: get em into ya...sorry four words. If we can put in a 50th of the effort required to keep up our grog habit, surely to Christine we can wack a few capsules down our gullets a few times a day. Write a plan....get a pill box, fill it up on Mundy morning and off ya go.....alkies are in serious nutritional trouble, enough to sabotage even our best and most well laid out plans for sobriety...over and above what we can compensate for with an excellent diet. Studies have shown that even with strict adherence to mega supplementation it takes a good 18 months of sobriety to heal our damaged livers and even more if the liver is seriously compromised. And thats not even considering the damage done to the brain, cardiovascular system etc. etc. A small price to pay for optimum health...go on throw everything youve got into it. Sorry for sounding like a drill seargeant, but I think that this part of our recovery is at least 80% of the deal. And btw does your trainer tell you to go hard or piss off home? Thats my motto:H

Stirls, great to see you visiting. We also love all things Greek. Did you know that Melbourne has the largest concentration of Greeks outside of Athens?

Hope you enjoy your "sub". When Mr. Stirly first went to Canada, many years ago, one of his first jobs was at a submarine sandwich place. I used to pop over once in a while to see him on my lunch break and he would make a special one just for me - double cheese and extra slices of meat, etc. etc. They were really, really delish..For every 60 seconds that you are angry, you lose a minute of happiness.
