Time, I feel you around us. Yes, I remember from the age of about 14 losing young people in accidents; terrible, needless, ones. They think they know so much, till IT happens. I've been to too many funerals, the old and young.
Good to see everyone up and around. Pan, just jump back on. Don't make me come and thump you! :H

Hey all. Thanks to all who were in the chat last night. Had soccer game with my four year old today, then went to a fall festival with the family. Now I am trying to adjust a baby seat for my bike. I have to run to the pharmacy to fill a script for my 8 month old and am really trying hard not to buy some al while there. Kids and wife are napping. This is really hard!!!

I didn't mean to come across like I know everything because certainly I don't! MB, I am so sorry they did not appreciate you while you were there, but wouldn't you love to be a fly on the wall next week when they're trying to figure everything out! Ruby, love the pics! trap the mind can play so many games and the thing is ask yourself ..do you really need to drink to be or act normal around your family ...and first you have to be willing to do this for you and then your family ..this way the only one you are letting down is yourself and using your pain that you feel ..to getting stronger to take it even farther... look deep within yourself and you will find whats needed to get where you want to be in life as a father, husband, business man as a non drinker...

Great, T, as usual. You're such an inspiration, please post on the 'First Time' thread. I think it may help people who come here, new, unsure, afraid of where they'll fit in. That's what it's about, encouraging them to join in. (Sorry, I know you, Tony, and Pro will be disappointed with the subject, but it REALLY is about the first time we came, and how we felt. Lot's of people think we have all the answers, and you know we don't, brother.
I'm missing Cinders. Haven't seen her anywhere in ages. Anyone have any info?? She's a real peach.

MB-I just cannot believe that nobody did anything for you on your last day.....what is wrong with them? Well, you are much better off without them and the "ghetto". Hope you are relaxing today...you need to get rested up before Monday.

Panno....I am sorry that you slipped....glad that you came right back here, though. I hope you are enjoying the afternoon and movie and drinking lots of water.

Ruby-you live in such a beautiful area....wow-how can you stand all of that traffic!! :H
You'll be happy to know that the dog fence was installed today...I am so happy and the dogs are happy, too.

Vicki-I missed talking with you yesterday...our weekly phone call. Addy didn't want to nap in the afternoon and I have to watch her 24/7 since she is crawling and puts everything in her mouth! I think she is going home tonight...I will miss her, but I know I need at least one day a week to myself.

Nora..hope your shopping trip went well today. I went to the dollar store today too!! I haven't done a puzzle for years - but I am a read-a-holic.....I buy a new book at least once ever two weeks.....I need to find a library, I guess.

Sunny-hope you are having a good day at work...are you off tomorrow? That book that you are reading sounds good.......I'll have to watch for it.

Trapped-I am glad that you keep coming back to us.....I feel so safe here and cared about and supported.

That's wonderful, Grate! unless you have a Houdini like our Gator. He's always had problems, even as a pup, with his hind legs, and since he was discovered on a highway, I don't know if he had any trauma. Now he'd rather sit and swivel around than stand up, and he's not out there bouncing and annoying my TMB anymore. I'm afraid his days are numbered, but like the rest of his life, they will be loving ones. He has no appetite, but I can coax him a bit. He has the most beautiful face and eyes. Can't imagine what his puppyhood was like, and all I want is for him to be happy and comfortable.
TMB has been sleeping next to the computer since her meal and and walk. She's a happy girl. It's an amazing thing to have a dog like her who whimpers at your touch, keeps her head in your lap, allows ANY any humiliation, like wearing a tutu, but jumps to my defense in a second. (Just ask T how she is about making friends with strange men!:H) I take her to the cabin, say 'check the windows', and she runs to each one, searching for a problem. For 7 years, she has been my confidante, my bodyguard, the one who makes me confident to travel alone. So T, I know how you are missing Wishbone. I can't even think of that day. Hubs says he's a VERY smart man, to never make me choose between him and my dogs. When you spend so much time alone, they become our lifesavers.
Bet (my nickname for her) has learned to pull me up from steep banks, sometimes a little too strongly! when we hike in the mountains. She's chased snakes that come across our path, and I have no doubt would do the same for anything, including bears. Riding in the car is her passion.
Sorry to rave on about my girl. But sometimes, unconditional love is the most important, and that's what we give each other. Even when she's torn down a door during a thunderstorm, or I've not given her the food she likes best. These are a few of the joys we learn to cherish, when our children are not here everyday, and we are trying to fill our sober hours. People are astonished at how smart she is, but it's only her desire to make me happy, which is mutual now. Thanks for reading.

Man I miss alot in the last day!!!! Traped glad your are here T you always have the rignt thing to say you are truly a wonderfull person. MB for get those so called co workers just take out the trash and have a great start at your new job. sunny I will call you tomarrow. Bird how are you doing?? As for me I have been out looking and finding work thank God. The jobs seem to be streaming in and Greatfull and I need it badly. Having some family problems that I am trying to work with. Kids ho how hard is that man I wish they came with a manual. My son anounced last night at a family meeting that he has lost his faith I was cruhsed his sister had some realy good things to say but he thinks it is all history. So I got to work on that. In the morning I am going to the summer home in MD to try and button some things up with the boat and winterize the house. have to be back by 5 to go to a b- party of my wife's friend a 75th. will check in later. Everyone have a great night and go phils!!!!!!!!!!

Feeling better today and off for a walk in this glorious autumn weather, sunny but cold, really got to clear my head feeling like i'm sinking into a depression just can't shake a lazy mood I have had for sometime now
