Just back from some shopping, have to get ready for the Halloween shindig. I went to Lowes for the charcoal for our Big Green Egg, and much to Hubs dismay, always check out the discounted plants. Here's my haul from today. They originally would have been at least $125, probably more, and I paid $23. Chrysanthemums come back each year, and the little pots are ornamental pepper plants. Gorgeous, but hot as hell. I'm going to tend them, and give them for gifts, one tonight to the lady hosting the party. When I was little, my grandmother had them, and though I'd been told not to touch them, of course I did, and mashed one. Later I rubbed my face. I was on fire for hours!
Pan, it depends on what's in the cake. If you freeze it, it surely will. The brandy 'pickles' it, in a way. I make an ice box fruitcake, like my Momma did, and she kept it in the refrigerator (no AL!) for up to 2 months before Christmas.

Who am I kidding - it is pitch black out there. And we usually walk in the woods. Maybe in half an hour or so. Well, I hope more of us are here today. Ruby - your painting is beautiful!! And your pics of the girls too - as the others said- broken hearts ahead for the guys!!
TRap - most of us here - not that that makes it right or okay - but most of us here are on AD's or whatever, so if it helps - take them! And the stupid Topa will kick in when it does!! It WILL TAKE TIME! In the meantime, hang here with us - you are doing all that you can.
Jan - hope you are gearing up for your fight - someone on here on Friday said they work in the unemployment (I think - read back and see who it was) and PM them and see what they were going to check out on Monday.
RC - where are you - are you scared to show up 'cos you are being bombarded with questions re natural therapies? LOL. I have a cough now - suggestions please??? The cold is very mild compared to what it would have been normally thanks to you.

Hi all,
Hope you had a good walk sun. It is chilly here too and i have the heater on. I couldnt get on last night my kid on all eve and my other to friends house. I ended up drinking some and sitting outside. Hadnt taken antabuse since maybe monday. Gotta make sure I take the stuff. T I enjoyed your vids. Rubes nice pics. That painting is something you should do more if it makes you feel good. I always try to stick to my true self. Could go out and get a great paying welding job but would hate it and all those hours. Would rather be broke and happy than work myself to death at a job I hate. That is something good about losing that job MB. Those people are assholes to work for. There is some good in there somewhere.....the little old ladies at Friends of the Library elected me secretary. I didn't really want to do it, but they are nice and I like being around older folks since they have been around longer and always have good advice. I hadnt been going to their meetings cuz the time is inconvienient but will have to go now. Only once a month. They like me to bring the kids, they like talking to them and getting them involved. The little ol ladies like to do things like have teas and stuff like that. Well it'll keep me outa trouble a bit. I'm on for 2 years. Well the sun is coming up. Gotta go let the chickens out and practice piano....later...bComment
