    Hi all,
    I will check in before the kids get up since they will take over. They are off today and tomorrow. One is going bowling tonight with bf and both are going to spend the night tomorrow with friend. What will I do. Enjoy the quiet I guess. It is nice to have alone time Vick. Gives you time to think. Topsy, I have a really laid back job too. Just come and go as I please and work alone, just do whatever needs doing. Then be on my way. Sorry about your ears Rubes. Seems our eyes and ears get worse every year. And everything else. Pan that was a kind thing to do. Sun have a good day at work. Everyone else as well.....b

                Grate, thanks for that laugh this morning!! :H Yes, what a visual!!! How many times I driven the roads, here and at the cabin, searching. Glad yours ended well. I have a funny story about that. My neighbor had a Doberman who ran loose (bad move). A friend called from a couple miles away saying she saw him and neighbor drove over and made him get in back seat. When she got home, HER Dobie was standing on the porch. Her husband had to return the other dog.
                I know hearing loss is no big deal, but he told me I'd actually begun lip reading without knowing it. Just a shock. It's the combination of everything else, I guess. My eyes have been shot for years.
                Pan, so glad you checked in! We miss you.
                MB, just sit back and enjoy the circus today and tomorrow.

                    Mama, sorry to hear about the sewage problems. Poo is crappy.

                    Sun, I put together parenting classes and do home visits re: brain and language development in 1 - 3 year olds. And whatever else needs done. I used to do some freelance writing (fluffy, human interest stuff), but not much anymore.

                    I've rediscovered reading! My last two semesters of college, I was buried in assigned reading. Somewhere along the line I forgot that I actually like reading novels. Also, it's very hard to follow a story line when you're smashed and seeing double.

                    Must get to work. Hi to everyone I missed. I hope ya'll have a great day.

                      T, our fearless leader, your strength and will are what we all aspire to, and it rubs off on us. Thank you so much just for being your own crazy self, being here, and being my inspiration to live a sober life, a life, a fulfilled life where we know what is REALLY important.                         Topsy, if you dont mind me asking...where do you live??

                        Rubes and Grateful...we spent several hours many nights looking for our sweet Beagle Max....that damn dog loved to run...it's what eventually got him run over.....
                        My precious father was born and raised in rural Georgia...always had beagles...when he became an executive at a major corporation up in Ohio, he was still a good ole country boy and ALWAYS had a beagle...one after another.
                        About 10 years ago he was driving home in a suit, nice new Acura sedan...(trying to paint a picture here)
                        he sees a dead rabbit on the side of the interstate...what do you think that fool did? He pulled over, tucked his tie into his shirt, scooped up the rabbit and put it in a box in the trunk.
                        When he got home, he dragged the carcass all through the woods. Then he let Georgia Brown loose, and I'll be damned if that dog didn't start baying and tracked that nasty rabbit down.
                        We still laugh to this day about my dad doing that.
                        The beagle he owns today is Miss Daisy and she was resuced from a puppy mill in South Carolina.

                              Oh, Mama. I can just picture your Dad in a suit doing that...what we will do for animals. I am FINALLY getting a fence installed on Saturday for our 3 dogs...actually 4 dogs now that my son is living with me. What's a little more debt for the safety of our precious dogs......

                                I have been BEGGING Papa Bear for another dog for 18 years, and he refuses to let me get another one. After Max got smashed by a van right in front of him and died in his arms....he has never gotten over it
