    No, Grate, you didn't miss it. I came here first in August 2008, starting counting in October, but gave it up the next spring. I just don't like the numbers, they didn't work for me, but they're great for others. I just love sobriety. Thank you for asking and remembering though, love!!
    MB, my Daddy did the same thing, but he put it in a box in the back seat, with my daughter (to aggravate her I think :H) He and she told that story till he died. He thought it was a lot funnier than she did, but that's the kind of sense of humor he had.

        My sweetie just called to check in on me; I was so tense and stressed after yesterday. I know I'm being a big baby about it, but DANG when do things stop falling off me!
        MB, do you know what your schedule will be at new job, (work week, holidays, vacations, etc.)?

          dont know if I will be able to play here as much at first....
          standard holidays and vacations
          health insurance for family on DAY ONE OF EMPLOYMENT for only $290 PER MONTH...that was huge for me



          mimzey...if you have to get a hearing aid, put them in these...you will be so cute and the grands will love it!!

            Everyone seems to be in fair form today. That puts a smile on my face.

            Rubes I've been lip reading for years but refuse to have a hearing test done. I actually go to the doctors less in the last 10 years and overall I think I am healthier even with the extreme stress I've been under. I do have things breaking down too though....like a knee they would love to operate on. Not sure they would actually fix it and I couldn't afford to take time off anyways. Please email me directly if you have questions for me, as it is easier to respond that way. Are you still going to place that order??

            Trade show is to network, see new stuff, spy(hehe) and just give hugs to those I mostly talk on the phone with.

            Nora I run my own health food store (over 15 years now). Vitamins, herbals, food supplements, organic and special dietary needs foods. I do have books too!

            Hope everyone has a great day. I just finished my BREAKFAST and must get back to it. Do as I say--not as I do.:tonguemonkey:

                    I feel Totally Trapped

                    I am brand new here. I have ordered the vitamins, suppliments, cds and have a Rx for Topomax. I have been drinking since I was 14...I turned 38 this year. I have a wonderful wife, a 4 year old son and an eight month old son. I am a successful business man, loving father and husband, but my drinking is out of control. For the past 5 years I have uped my drinking to 2 half gallons of vodka a week, plus wine and beer thrown in for good measure.

                    I have hidden it well until I had some tests done on my liver a few months ago. My liver enzymes are high and my doctor told me to quit drinking for 30 days to rule out other possible causes. I couldn't quit...at all. It actually scared me so much that I was trapped that I drank even more.

                    I tried AA and hated it. I have read alot of this message board and feel encouraged to give this a try. I don't know if I can do this or not, but I am all in for now. I am waiting for everything to arrive in the mail, should i start on Topomax now? or wait till i have the rest of the "supplies" from MWO?

                      Hi Trapped & so glad that you have joined us. This is a wonderful place and you will find out there is so much support here.
                      In my opinion, I would start the Topamax now. No reason to wait. When I first started, I used Topamax and L-Glutamine to control the cravings.
                      The other thing to do is to get on here as much as you can and READ & POST and READ & POST and READ & POST. When you feel cravings, get on here. That is so helpful because we all know how you feel.

                        Hi, TD. You have come to the right place and I am glad that you have ordered all the supplements, cds, etc. My opinion is that you should start on the Topa right away...but you might want to pop over to the medicine thread....Topamax, Campral, Naltrexone, Baclofen, other meds - My Way Out Forums and ask there. Please stay here and read every post you can....that is what helped me along with the meds & cds. YOU CAN DO THIS....we will all be here to support you, okay? I'm really glad to see you here.

                            Thanks so much NoraC! I have one in my pocket (25mg) and have been taking daily vitamins and milk thistle for about a week. Should I take it now or wait till I go home after work?

                              I liked to take mine in the afternoon/early evening because that was my witching hour. So, I liked to take it before I left work. Then when I moved my dosage up, I took it in the morning & the afternoon.
