Good morning - yes I did indeed sleep in! Rog, you know that you did the right thing and your dream was wishbones way of showing you that - well, that is what I would like to think anyway. It is going to be so hard for you - I just can't imagine. It will leave a void in your life, that time will heal. In the meantime I send you hugs and healing prayers.

Bird, sorry about the Fri thing but I suppose I can see it from the coffee shops point of view - even though it spoils it for responsible folk like you. And EXCELLENT advice for Trap!! Something I shall read too and take to heart!!

So everyone else - where are you? It is funny how the weekends here are so quiet - on my days off I have more time to come here - although today I close so won't be around later.

Trap - everyone has their secrets and trust me someone here on this forum has probably done it sometime - no shame - we do not judge - we are only here to help - we are all in this together and give you support. You SO want to do this - you can tell it in your posts and whatever you want to tell/not tell is fine with us. PM or post - whatever. Just be here and have our support and hugs. Oh and re the coffee - I drink decaf which doesn't interfere with sleep - why not try that? I can't tell the difference in taste at all although others say they can.

I will be back later probably - then off to work at 1.30.

Honey I'm home and I've hard day.....
Sorry about being absent.....packed up and did last minute stuff.....no cards, no balloons, no cake, nothing...i have been there over two years with some of these people...whatever....but it did hurt my feelings...

I am snuggling under quilt reading..Ruby, the Sixth Sense is an awesome movie.
Clay lost his game by 10 points last night, but he had a great game.
i feel like sleeping all weekend....i am so tired...
Trapped.... I hide my drinking too.....and it is exhausting..you have to hide the bottles, get them to the trash, lie about why you are slurring your speech...i finally talked to my husband, but he had no idea how much i drank, just that i was drinking. I tried Topa, but didn't like side effects.....so far Antabuse has done it for me. Pop that pill and that;s it. I have not had a drink since October 2nd, with the exception of one evening. i don't recommend it, but i knew i had not had an antabuse for five days, so i indulged.
I dont anything about liver enzymes, but i would be terrified if i were u. During this month of not drinking I realized that it was habit, that's all. I have been ABSOLUTLEY FINE without booze. Life still sucks some days. I am still broke and stressed about money since my sweet hubs is unemployed, but I am fine. Be strong my friend and we ARE here for you

Considering the Minnie ears. My family would not be surprised. :H From what I've read (no expert) Antabuse is no harder on the liver than AL, or even the highest recommendation of Tylenol (it's a VERY dangerous medication if you're not careful, should never be taken with AL). And it either insures sobriety or a VERY sick day. Something, sometimes, has to whip our ass! What works, works.
MB, I'm very sad that nothing was done for you. That's pathetic. I'm putting a spell on them that they get the Wicked Witch Of The East as their next boss, and they will nominate you 'Saint Jan'. Another example that people have no manners, no raising, anymore, to show respect. But just for you,

Afternoon everyone, feeling very sheepish today...yes you guessed it I slipped again big style!! Gosh when will I bloody learn..I feel so rough today, its just not worth it!! Got alot of crap going on in my head right now and feeling very down, so its an afternoon on the settee with the tv and watching one of my fav films..Singing in the Rain..awesome.

Jan - well, if I had been there, there would have been a HUGE send off - and lots of tears!!! They didn't know when they were well off - shame on them!! Hi Nora! Panno - hope you feel better - that sounds really nice, curling up on the sofa with the TV - want to switch places - you go to work for me and I curl up on the sofa? Have a good day Sun!! I don't know what I'm going to do yet. I stayed up WAY to late last night. So, I'm dragging today. Think we are going to hit the dollar store. I want to buy a new jigsaw puzzle. Something to keep me busy. I am still having a hard time slowing down my brain enough to sit & read a book. That used to be my most favorite thing in the world to do. Somehow I have lost that. So, I'm going to try the puzzle to start chilling myself out. Then hopefully, my brain will learn to calm down and I can get back to reading.

ok were alive here from the pit of uncles room ... couldnt get him out of there to really do what i wanted but got half done ... so now we got the rest of the afternoon to play enjoy one and all ... jan dont worriy girl be happy and just move forward to the next job and be grateful ...love yall

When it comes out, you need to read The Confession by John Grisham - it is really good - I am having a hard time putting it down!!!! It comes out Tuesday!! (one perk to working in a bookstore - you sometimes get advance copies!!)

Good Afternoon Shifters.
Ruby no need to miss me. I am always reading and checking in on this thread.

Today is the funeral( in our town) for a 20 year old kid who was killed on his motorcyle this week. My older son knew him from school and there are no details except there is speculation that he was drinking and driving at an excessive speed. Why do kids think they are invincible? So sad for such a young kid to die so young and for no reason other than alcohol. Please remind your kids, family, friends, especially those in the age group that think they will live for ever that alcohol kills. This accident did not involve anyone else (thank God) but a young life is lost for nothing.

Ok, enough said.Where is our October host Tony these days? Seems quiet around here without him. Hope all else is well.
Trap- I hope you hang around and let this family be your support. They are the best support you could ask for.

Time - I worked with a man that lost his son due to a car accident. Alcohol was involved there also. It was heartbreaking to see this man that had aged 30 years overnight try to cope with his loss.
