      RC, I'm the toughie grammy. The earn their way. Chit, my my grandmother, made us cut our own switches from the switich tree, and I have 2 of the the 3 gifts I remember her giving me.

        Hallo everyone - gosh Ruby I am so sorry for all that you are going through with the grands and the DIL -still! Poor you. I feel for you. Not sure how you are ever going to get it sorted though - what a big mess for you. Vicki - carpel tunnel is a real pain - a friend had to have surgery for that and she still has problems even after having the surgery and that was really bad too so I am not sure what to suggest for that!

        Rog - glad that you have some work at last, even if it isn't a lot - that must feel good for you.

        RC - cut my diet soda down to 2 cans today and didn't miss it - drank gallons of water too. Got the oil of oregano but haven't quite got the top off yet LOL. I won't switch to real soda - I am quite happy with water - just need to stop the soda first. I also got the curcumin but couldn't find any enteric coated which is better for the body so had to get the caps. Thank you so much again for all your wonderful advice. oh and I made a decision today - 6th November is my quitting day for everything!! AL (if I haven't stopped by then), Cigs and Soda too (if I am still drinking it by then). So, that is that!! I have a plan.

        Trap - hope you checked the other thread re the Topa question.......

        Jan - how did your 2nd day go? i am glad that you decided not to check in here while you are at work - they really can - and do - check where you have been these days! It just isn't worth it. I am one of those who always get caught, so I know for me it wouldn't be anyway!

        Nora - are you feeling any better today? I do hope so. Biz, Grateful - are you checking in this evening?

        I am going to be calling Swannie tomorrow morning to see how her surgery went today and will post and let you all know.

        Time, Bird, Trap - hope you are all doing well - Tony, how is the back?

          Sorry I have'nt been around.....been taken care of a few things around the house. I am feeling better ..the old back is ok. I went out and "Early Voted" today. So many campane posters, people etc...I told one of them that came near me: I voting early does'nt that tell you something...like I've already made up my mind ! Ha! Duh......Hope everyone is doing good....Tony

            Good evening everyone hope all is well with the family. Tough day today so many jobs and most are not going the way we would like. I have been down all day so many things on my mind I want a drink and I know that is not the answer!! on top of my problems my daughter took her drivers test for the second time and was so nervous that she faild. It was hard to pick up the pieces and keep my mine on work I will catch with everyone in the morning as for now I am beat no AH but going to bed hope the morning is better !!!!! I need a lift bad real bad

              Oh Biz - hang in there - it is so hard when we have to watch the children fail - we so wish we could do it for them!! But they have to learn what the real world is about. Hope you get a good night sleep. Hugs to you.

                Biz, I understand. AL is no lift. gotta keep at it. Told Tay today I knew I'd let her down too, bu I was back now, and had been and would not be pushed around like she was used to doing with her mother, who would just give in to her, or, not be here for her when she needs me. As you see, everyone's life has challenges, and we each have to face them, hopeful AL free. Just sent the little ones home, full of dinner, and happy, with a promise to make Halloween cookies this weekend.

                    Thanks for keepin me in the loop. Love to read your thread and I am always thinking of you all. I may not seem like part of the family but I think of myself that way.

                      Crap. Tripped over Satan, fell slap on my butt. Have a good bruise already on one wrist, will have them tomorrow on my left upper arm and across back. Sounds like something I would do drinking, but then I would have gone down face first, crushed the dog, broke my nose and knocked myself out! :H No worries, except for not crushing the dog!!!!!!!!!!! I've been warning Hubs for years about her dancing in front of my feet. Well, it happened. He'll probably put me me out to pasture.

                          hey guys--raining to beat the band here (sounds like those drumsticks are tapping away here Bird) at least not the 70 km winds they were predicting.

                          Time--good to see you posting--it all helps--I think--you-me-and everyone!

                          Tony-I love your humour. I don't get it sometimes but I can be slow.....

                          Sun you are so diligent....my kindergarten teacher said I was "conscientious". Is that a clue about our deep seated need to belong? No judgement--just musings. Crack that top if you haven't already!!

                          Ruby--damn I can relate and I love you! I don't know if I told you but in 2007 I tripped over my little dog which resulted in 48 stitches in my face and a broken nose. Yes I had been drinking but only a few glasses of wine. It was dark and I was skipping along and did a flying squirrel down my basement stairs. More to it but -- I learned just how amazing the body is if we treat it right!

                          Ok losing track now...Nora, Bird, Grateful, and all....sweet dreams!
