    Army Thread 3rd October

    Morning lovelies

    Mum is fading fast.
She has a catheter now, cos she has no strength to get to bathroom or even on a commode. She seems to be drifti9ng in and out of consciousness or a very deep sleep. The nurse has brought round all teh drugs she might need so we can provide hospice care at home. Nurses in twice a day and carers twice.
I am doing OK, becoming rather an expert nurse.
We more or less said our goodbyes yesterday while she was still fairly with it. It was lovely, and lots of things were said that needed to be said.
I love my mum very much. I dont want her to suffer any more.
Please say a prayer that she slips away peacefully and soon.
She has had enough now :l xxx

Oh Starts I'm so sorry to hear this. Know that Mom is in my prayers daily. I too know the terrible pain of seeing a loved one suffer. Stay strong and know there is a community of loving friends here that are praying too!

Time is too slow for those who wait
Too swift for those who fear
Too long for those who grieve
Too short for those who rejoice
But, for those who love ?
    Time is eternity.

Starty, sending you lots of love and prayers for you and your Mum and all of those around you.

Cant say all I would like to say but sending you lots of love and I think you have the knowledge that you have done everything that you needed to do. Bless you all.

Let's give her permission to say "enough".

Hang in there Starts ... it's hard but I think it's alright. Let her go. Hugs to you.

                        Thank you Tawny
I want her to go now , and I think she is very ready from the things she has said and the convos we had yesterday.
Its a bit like she is in a middle world, not there not here...
I am so glad she is in her home tho and not a hospital
Even now she is concerned that I am worn out and the nurses are worn out...
The nurses and care assistants are amazing, I cant praise them enough.
They came last night and took all the time to talk to me and try to reassure me. No rushing, just pure care.
Bridgee is a nurse I can just imagine her being like that.....

Her dog hasnt left her side. Even though she lives with me now, I have been bringing her over and she sits either by the bed or on it. So comforting for mum
