I never ever ended up not paralytic on a night out like that in the past. Waking up with no idea how I got home or who I offended. Shameful really when I think about it and very selfish.

I felt so proud of myself because I honestly was happy sitting there with my AF drink....and yet still did eveything the others did...act silly, dance and laugh hysterically!
Wob only remembers up to a point."It's not your job to like me, it's mine!"

For me its a case that you were the one with the free will and the ability to make a choice because in my experience when it gets to a certain level of AL onboard, at a function or say a wedding, an awful lot of people over here dont know when to stop. The difference between us and them is the vast majority of the time they can take it or leave it and have the ability to have just a couple and go home.Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?

They looked at me with pity last night as if I was missing out on something amazing, I just hugged the feeling to myself, I wouldn't trade for the world....even if I was a normal drinker, I wouldn't want to go back...I am missing NOTHING by not drinking."It's not your job to like me, it's mine!"

Thanks Chilli. Again it is all about perceptions Oney, when everyone is getting slaughtered that then becomes the norm and the yardstick that the night is measured by. By being sober and in control you stood out, in the mind of a drunken friend you were missing out.Ethanol is a toxic chemical, why would I drink it?
