I've been walking around Narrabeen thinking how different it smells to Wellington. It is lovely indeed.

Bit I'm missing the smell of my Betty :upset: :H

Freshly baked bread, Lapsang Souchong tea, pea and ham soup in the slow cooker when you get home from work at the end of a winter day, sun screen, BBQ, Mr B's dressing gown, freshly laundered sheets that have been hanging out in the sun all day ......

Oh now I need a little time to consider, but the freshly ground coffee and toast smells are a great start to the day.

                        smells

Petrol, Fahrenheit (I always try to make all new boyfriends 'convert' to this, but it's nicer on some than others ), Vanilla, fresh seaside doughnuts, dolly mixtures, that chemical they use when you get your car valeted (I would seriously wear this as a perfume), mildly charred toast, tarmac after the rain, Cerrutti 1881, Skittles, steak frying (smells sort of sweet like cake to me), Marlboro smoke, Easy washing up liquid, digestive biscuits, old fashioned soap, horse tackle (yeah the leather stuff, not anything else!), Molton Brown black pepper bubble bath, fishfingers, hairdressers (the shops not necessarily the stylists), woodsmoke, freshly laundered sheets, my other half (clean, sweaty, I like it all ), garlic on my fingers, onions frying, that really really thin paper you can get, Maccy Ds (don't eat it but I like the smell)...

God I'm random, but I really enjoyed doing this. I'm off to sniff a few Big Macs now or maybe to burn some toast..

                          smells

Lots of great smells to enjoy. I'll shoot for my top 6. Newborns, puppies, fresh ground coffee, sun/gentle breeze dried sheets, cardamom candles(wish I could find some again), jasmine. Haha can't do it. Ok 6 more: fresh baked bread, bacon, bbq anything, wood fire, cigar(not lit), lilacs.......--not even goin there with the smell of a man--that's just cruel in my case.....

Start by doing what's necessary, then what's possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible.
