    I am not going to drink today.

    Wow. I love the freedom too and the ability to enjoy family and friends without secretly (or not so secretly) jonesing for drinks the whole time!! I don't want to go back there so I am not going to drink today either.

      I am not going to drink today because I have to talk to a bunch of college students at orientation, and I think I should be sober for that! (Yeah to all college students!)

        I am not going to drink today because day 100 is tomorrow so no AL for me.
        I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.

        Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.

        Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.

          I'm not going to drink today because I am relieved I don't jones anymore either DG...... whew jonesing an uncomfortable state. SO happy that's over. Also when is Drifty's 100 day party gonna start?? Can I come??? Congrats Drifty!!

            Yes - it's a special day for drifty!! I'm off to look for her party after committing that I will not be drinking today. Don't need to re-ignite the jones monster, that is for sure.

              I am not drinking today as Dublin are playing in the gaelic football semi final and i want to remember the match.up the dubs.

                      I am not going to drink today.

                      I'm not going to drink today because I don't want to. This is new! In the past I would decide not to drink because " I shouldn't" or even because "I can't". This is a lot easier. I just don't want to. It's simply incompatible with how I want to live.

                        I'm right there with you Irie! Drinking is totally incompatible with my life today. And I LOVE my new sober life! So I will join you guys who have decided you won't be drinking today.

                            I will not drink today because my friends are having a party where
                            they will drink from 7pm till very late and will get up with a mega
                            hangover and be grumpy all day and I tomorrow will be as fresh
                            as a daisy :H

                                I'm not going to drink today because my husband is in the hospital facing bypass surgery and drinking sure won't help this situation.
