No al for me tonight. I slept so deliciously last night and want that tonight and every night for that matter! I'm learning that alcohol does absolutely nothing good for me.

It is snowing really hard right now - we are due to get 4 - 8 inches. So me and the rest of my local world were out running errands, shopping for groceries, etc. this morning. I saw several people with lots of booze in the carts. I was reminded that during the drinking years, my MOST important consideration when preparing for bad weather was having more than enough booze to see me through. That was far more important than food, water, etc.

I am so glad I don't live like that any more! No drinking for me today.

It's snowing pretty hard here, too. No AL in the house, I dumped out vodka and wine this morning. I hate AL. I do so well for a few days and that one moment of "Oh I'll be alright, I can control it" It NEVER works out that way. I hate this struggle. As long as I don't drink, as long as I say "NO" then it won't be a struggle. I HATE ALCOHOL!!!! I'm not drinking today.

DG - isn't it amazing, really, to think of the stranglehold alcohol has over people?! Relieved to be free.

It is snowing here as well (6-8 inches possible). I just remembered another reason for me to not drink today or tonight, my 8 month af anniversary is tomorrow so no drinking for me today or tonight. Well back to my online class.

Some people need to do that. I do it to myself everyday and sometimes I post in here. Keep doing it because it tends to work!
