Hasn't she gotten out all day? It's 4pm for goodness sakes. Or did youz go out for shopping and lunch and then back to the hotel?

If they're watching Spartacus, they definitely won't have us on their minds. :H:H Starty did say she wanted some time for herself. She's been through a lot lately and needs a few hours to chill a bit. So great that she got to go for the meet-up. I'm sure it did her a world of good to be with all you nutters and have some good laughs...

                      Army Thread 24th October

I like to have my house tidy but not immaculate. I'm not a clean freak by any means. Exception is the extra bedroom that is now my "office". As long as the bed is made it's okay but there is always a pile of clothes that need to be folded or ironed and put away. As for hotel rooms, I would not be happy leaving a room look like I was a messy person when the maids came to clean. Silly, really, that's what they're there to do and my time would be better spent walking around the area I'm visiting or shopping. Oh well, I don't stay in hotel rooms often so not something I have to deal with...

P.S. As for the power of internet, talking on FB is nothing compared to Skyping. If Starts had a camera on her laptop, you could had a regular conversation. I talk to my Mom on Skype a couple of times a week. It's almost as good as sitting down for a coffee together at her kitchen table.

I forgot which part of Greece she lives in. Does she ever get to Athens? I would love to meet her sometime if she gets into the city.

Sorry for being late in replying to this. My sister called from Canada and we yacked on and on.
Would like to meet your sister but even more to meet our little yellow duck herself. That would be so cool. You can get fairly cheap flights from London to Athens. I quoted prices for Jackie today but then remembered that younger son had gone to London end of last winter and I think he only paid 120 euro for a return ticket. I do remember him booking and paying for the ticket some time in advance tho.' Maybe should look into that sometime. Older son's godfather is from Zakynthos. We've visited it and it is a pretty island. Hope you have a lovely dinner with your family...

Zen - Skype is the absolute best thing ever. Keeps families and friends in close-up contact no matter where in the world they are...
