        Art of Living Course

        My experience

        Logged in after long and saw the post for the Art of Living course. Sad that the spammer has actually done a disservice by spamming for what is a potentially beneficial Course that might give a new way to look at life for a lot of people here.

        I have participated in the basic course spread over six sessions conducted by the Art of Living foundation in the early days of my drinking quit. It was a real eye-opener at that point of time when I was looking for a change in the course of my life. It was a heaven- sent. Got me interested in spirituality and pranayama and yoga and meditation and the essential questions of life - practices which have stood me in good stead in staying sober for the past two-and-a-half years and more.

        The basic course gives an introduction to asanas. There are interactive sessions exploring our relationships with ourselves as well as the other participants.
        Sudarshan kriya is a specific technique of pranayama which is an advanced form of breathing exercises and my personal experience has been that it is a great practice to experience that elusive stillness which all meditators aim for.
        Although I took the course here in India, I understand that the basic structure of the course is the same anywhere in the world.
        And the Art of Living Foundation is doing great public service back here in India.
