JC --I just started a new book by Joanna Trollope and it made me think of you. Well, the mother in the book is English, her youngest child is leaving home ...kinda an empty nest story. But I'm at the point where all three of the kids have come back home.

ANYWAY! It's called Second Honeymoon. Good without being too deep-and the characters are great! So I'm going to curl up snug and get lost in my book. :l laters, expat

Aww Xpat,
I'm getting used to having an empty nest. It got a bit crowded the other week when there was all of us here, plus the son and heir's GF and Black Bess bouncing around cos of all the attention she was getting.

I'm not gone yet, hehe! JC-the nice thing in the book is that even though the kids are now "adult children"--they still need their mum and dad. They are always our babies!

I actually wanted 3 children but we took our 2 to buy shoes one day and I nearly fainted when 2 pairs of 'proper' shoes came to over ?90, so I went off the idea.

Yep we're thinking about just putting in a revolving door and a lock on the fridge
