Happy Melbourne Cup Day!!

I always associate with the start of the silly season and the gradual wind-down to Xmas :yay:

An absolutely stunningly awesome morning this morning. Celebrated with a bike ride around the harbour singing "Oh What a Beautiful Morning" at the top of my voice and the hilarious thing was that lots of other people out bright and early joined in :H

Look, everybody just CALM DOWN, ok? Cup fave 'So you think' has not been sold, and will be running in the cup today. I've been on the blower since half past 3 this morning in a 4 way conference call with the Sheik, who will remain nameless (Peter Russell-Clarke), and owner's Dato Tan Chin Nam and Tunku Ahmad Yahaya. Now look, yes it was quite a fiery conversation, with 'Yahoo Yahaya' (as he's affectionately known in the game) trying on the silent treatment with the Sheik for an hour or so, but Chinny was yer ultimate showman and smooth talker, and to my mind, didn't exactly rule out a sale to the Sheik in the future. To say that everyone left the call a little confused is an understatement, except to say, that all were agreed that the horse will run today. (I reckon the big fella might be scratched, is the inside mail i'm picking up.......)

A safe sober and marvellously magical day to horses, jockey's, and punter's.

News flash!

I've just had a call from Warwick Capper, Lisa Curry-Keeny, and the blonde chick from 'High Five' that sand castles have been banned from Sunshine coast beaches! Not sure if this is another one of Wazza's prank call's, but i'll be seeing Premier Anna Bligh at the cup later today, so will corner her about that one. If this is the case, i'll be getting Enriquo Englaisies on board, as i'm doing a little guest spot with him in the 'Ron01' AF tent just after the race.
