well folks, I have a house full of teenagers, kids on couches, kids in hammocks, bloody kids everywhere. But I luvs em all. Girls with hardly any gear on, sons with long black hair , long black coats, long black boots, eyeliner; Ahh they are all so beautiful. A while back I would have found this scene quite distressing and I'd have been hiding away in my own house, hoping for them to piss off. The drink takes so much of your ability to enjoy these simple, important moments...turns them into something stressful and alien. Now I am completley engaged with these young folk...talking about their aspirations, their hopes, their dreams, the exciitement of venturing into adulthood. I have my moments of dread hoping that none of them turn to mind altering substances. I try to gently persuade them to take life on lifes terms and to be content with a non toxic brainstate. We can just hope.

Lunch time check in. Any self-respecting Undie not out there and amongst it really ought to get the strap.

Brilliant day here - pulled a trailer load of weeds, collected and stacked trailer x 2 of wood, hand-mowed the tricky bits for 1.5 hours, sang with the chooks, deep watered the fernery, ate one avocado vinaigrette and I will now reward myself with about an hour of ride-on mowing in time for 3pm down tools time.

Then, and only then, shall I repair to my favourite outdoor sitting spot with the crossword and a cleansing Budaberg Ginger Ale. Yup, it's that time of year again. Bliss.

Sounds like we're having the same day, as it happens.
Weather is absolutely perfect here.
The dog and I have been surveying our kingdom together. We now have a resident frog population to look after. Completely chemical free it is then. I'm sensing the building of a new habitat.
Feel sorry for these poor bastards when they come back to reclaim their home, and find a 'messy' permaculture madness :H
