OK - I've been to the TAB at the local pub and placed my mammoth $10 bet on the favourite and some baby bets on Shoot Out, Master O'Reilley, Shocking and Americain. You'd think one of them will come good ... yes ... that trip to Paris is sooooo in the wind ...
Oh, and Lilly - the race is at 3pm - an hour from now.
And even if you're not going to have a wee wager, enjoy the beautiful, magical creatures.Comment

Tawny - well done on Americain! My Melbourne horsey friend put $100 on her (him?) and recommended that I did too.
I didn't but put $2 on Maluckyday. And I just noticed that Reg didn't include that in the sweep :H:H:H
So Reg, I think that if you are going to stand for election as the 2011 Melbourne Cup MWO MC, you have about as much chance as Sarah Palin at a Democrat convention :HNever give up, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn
