    Monday is the big day!!

    Gearhead, do you have some things in place to help you avoid drinking? May I recommend a book? It's called the Easyway to Quit Drinking by Allen Carr. Has helped a lot of people here, including myself.

    Hope you're taking time to read all the great stuff available on the website.

        Monday is the big day!!

        So far so good, day 2 is almost over and I'm AF and NF so far. I feel moderate as far as cravings go. Other than being sick to my stomach because of this Zoloft, I feel pretty good and confident.

          Congrats on making it to day 3 - they say the first few days are the hardest. Can't remember if you've talked about having a plan, but I think it helps. Here is a link on the website that might be of help.

            Hey Gearhead - well done - I had a dodgy day yesterday - I was a soggy sleeping mess but stuck to it and am still NF and AF. It is hard but I think it is better to do the two together - at least it gets them both out of the way at once and you don't know which craving is hitting you!!!! Anyway - well done you and me. Hang in there, this can be done!!!

              Everytime I have a craving deep down I laugh because, such powerful habits are trying to fight me, and they stand no chance.

                  Gearhead, good job, and keep fighting man. Don't forget a little excercise always works wonders and some LGlutamine Powder helps with the cravings. As far as smokings cravings, try some sunflower seeds and Spicy V8 juice on the Rocks!

                              Interested in the 8383 in your name. Birthdate perhaps?
                              My daughter Brooke was born on 8th March 1983 and just loves the 8383 thingy.

                                Made it through the weekend. Still AF NF. I have to say it is tough to tell that little red devil on your shoulder "NO" sometimes. Its amazing what your brain will try to trick you into. "oh just one, no'one will know" LOL
