Hey Mario.
I was thinking about going onto the Long Term thread and as I was writing a post I just got a feeling that if I did then I'd be...I dunno...joining in with a lot of my AF heroes, past and present, and I really don't feel that heroic, just doing what has to be done.

Popeye you would give a much needed boost to that thread as it doesn't get the posts it deserves and a lot of people dont know it exits and i know you would have something credible & inspiration to share, go for it my man. :goodjob:

hi onester and mar s and the rest i mt of missed,i got started and made a comment to chill s comment about being cut off and my bloody computor froze,thank goodness ive been doin this on off sober thing for years,pop s there rite,anyone with a year or more sobriety,has it,licked,only if they want it,i say a year cause i beleive the fog has lifted,doesnt mean you dont battle this ailment the rest of your life,many people i met thro AA and other programs will tell you just that,10,20,30 and even 40 years sobriety they had or hav,it never ends,only cause were the way we are,face it,we didnt stop cause we disliked drinking,we stop because of wht it made us into,not like a so called normal drinkers,the old saying,we became dr jeykles and mr hydes,alto egoes as i called it,pops ,a person who eventually understands the ailment,as you do,can put in input any where,my 2 cents gyco

I still don't think I'm a long termer even after a year AF as I learn something new everyday, I still feel like I'm a work in progress.

i hav my bac to work meeting today,should be interesting,i feel as fit as a fiddle ,old fart tht i am,hahahaha,good thing i got my drinking habits in control and maybe even one day,i will stop,forrrrrevvvvvvrrrrrrrr,see when youve been doin this as long as i hav and it started in 1984,were som of u folks even born then,hahaha,you can actually poke fun at it,i said it b4,tilll i stumbled on this place,i was lost,yes i had AA,but it did not giv me what i wanted,[quote it gav e me a base-foundation]you hav to find what works,and thnx to u folks,youve helpped when i was down and also reassured me when i was up,im gonna say somthin ,there was a post by a young lady the other day,this is for all to read [oldies and newbies]i dont beleive it was to be offensive,i dont beleive i ever came here in the last 3 years of being here,and said i started again,i hav written on other threads i beleive my spot was else where,on other threads, that is why we have so many different threads,the most sobriety i ever had was 16 years,but was i sober,or was i just in a make beleive worlld,this site and AA,giv people like us just that,CHOICE,lecturing is not my style,i am just like the rest of you folks,whether i got one day or 10,000,thnx gang gyco hav a good weekend think
