The Journey is here...So Get your ass in gear November to Remember

Home now, dogs SO glad to see Hubs (me too!!). Same old same old, though. As soon as Hubs got home, his mother called to invite HIM to come eat! He called me from there and asked me to come over, but just NOT interested. I did tell him how much I appreciated him asking me, though.
Hubs says I have genetic defects, i.e.: I am missing both the shopping and the fear genes. HATE to shop, and the only thing I'm afraid of is something happening to my loved ones. He says he worries that my mouth is gonna write checks his butt can't cash! It's because I'm SO much like my fearless Daddy, but he worried when I told him I walked 2 miles a day, even with my Rottie. Nothing scared him personally, but Hubs reminds me I'm not 6'5" 250 pounds of muscle and mean. I think its all in attitude.
RC, I'm glad you're home and safe. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed your visit, and how sorry I am for being puny while you were here. YES, bring Gina, and lets plan on a June visit!! Finally finished all the leftovers I could eat, and Berit got the rest! :H In June, we'll all take the 2 hour float down the river. It's SO relaxing and refreshing (unless you fall over like I did in the deep rapids, and you can't get back on your float!)
It will take me ages to read and catch up with everyone, but I've followed ya'll as much as I could while away from the computer. After all, you are my beloved family.

Welcome back Ruby! Not much to say...tomorrow is a big day. Asking for your prayers that it goes in my favour or I'm gonna be screwed. Goldie I'm glad your going to give rehab another go and I am sure thinking about and sending love and strength to Clock. I hope she reads that. I'm tired but still have to get my papers together. I'm not dousing this fire in al anyways. There's an improvement. xox

                    Morning lovlies,

Just dropped in to wish you a fantastic day if it is day where you are, and to share a quote I heard recently. It came from a guy called The Rev. Fred Knocks. An Australian minister who set up a place called the Wayside Chappel in Sydney. He was an amazing man who gave people shelter - alcoholics; drug addicts; and homeless. He had this saying that went "I am a member of the family of humanity and not a single person on this earth is a stranger to me". i thought these simple words are so inspiring and I think I will take them on as a positive philosophy of my own. Love and grace Saffxx

RC, I'm holding your hand, sweet girl. Only good thoughts!
Sapph, SO good to see you!! A lovely thought you have brought us, something to think about and focus on. Something that I saw on a TV show struck me as something to think about: Saying something out loud makes it real. When we actually SAY 'I have a problem with AL', or another substance, or with our emotions, or dealing with conflict, etc., and we hear the words, it DOES become real. Once something is said, it can't be 'un-said'. We can no longer tip-toe around it, worry or fret over it. I hope ya'll understand what I mean. Sometimes the hardest person to convince of a truth is ourselves.
I'm a bit 'tard', so will probably sneak off to me leaba soon. Good to back amongst my family and friends. I'm gonna nag you all to get involved in our meet-up. Other groups do it frequently; I know this is a great big world, and country, but can only imagine how wonderful it would be to see more of you in person. I've loved meeting those of you I've had the privilege of entertaining so far, so I'm excited about the prospect of all of us sitting around a bonfire, swapping stories and singing 'Kum-Ba-Ya!' :H
Missing a few people here, so ya'll check in, please!! You know who you are!

Thanks, love. Hubs hands are peeling and splitting again too, so need your input on something to help him. Have spent thousands with dermatologist and no relief. Personally, I think its exacerbated by stress.
I'm working on posting the few pics I have. Maybe tomorrow.

You're welcome, MB. We don't even bother with cable anymore. Netflix rocks.

Welcome home, Ruby. I've very much missed see your cheerful, butt-kicker, good-home-cookin' self around.

I'm tired. Had an uncomfortable day at work and don't even have the energy to do yesterday's dishes (they're piling up). I'm going to zombie out on P & Z for a bit and go to bed early. Ruby, I loved the post you made yesterday that talked about something to look forward to. It's such an important thing to have. Otherwise, life gets to feeling like nothing but a bunch of drudgery and fear, and I suspect that it's going to be a long, cold winter. I don't think we're going to be able to manage a trek across the US anytime soon, but 'm going to figure out something to look forward to.

                            Nite everyone.

Hi all - just got in from work - Ruby - glad you got home safely. Good to have you back - am PM'ing you about meeting in June. Rc - how is your cold - have you been taking all the stuff I suggested?? (Oh that is SO tongue-in-cheek!!) If I can be nosy - what is happening tomorrow or aren't we supposed to know?

Sapph - lovely to see you here - and I agree with the saying!! good words!!

Jan - you are welcome, and have you seen something called New Tricks? It is a British Police Drama and I love it - check it out.

Khai - welcome to our thread! this is a wonderful place to be!!

Rog - not sure if you will like how I handle fear - I just don't have any as such! There is no point - if it is fear about something that will happen - 9 times out of 10, it doesn't happen, so I don't worry about it - I can't change stuff that MIGHT happen, so no point in wasting energy on it, if it is fear of - well, as Jan said - an interview - then again, I can't change the outcome, so, I do the best I can, and accept that that is the way things are supposed to be. I believe in reincarnation and Karma (sorry if I upset anyone here but it is just my own personal belief) and feel that we are only given what we can handle, so to fear the future is a waste of energy - that energy is better used to deal with the things we are given to deal with. I suppose I could ramble on about this but won't. I have said pretty much all i can in the short space of time I have - but that is how I deal with fear!

Now, I need to go and sort Maggie's food, and decide what to wear tomorrow - I did - and listen to this everyone - THREE hours of ironing last night - yes, you read that right - THREE HOURS!!! I still have about an hour left but I did the lions share and have enough for work and all of Hubs done!!

Talk later - love and hugs to all,

                              Sun XXX

I hope I have been given only what I can handle, but i know (as everyone else does) there are days when it seems we have been given more. Hang in there shifters. I think we are all headed in the right direction!!
