Jan - sweetie - I am so sorry you are feeling down - can't say I blame you though. Hugs to you - please call me if you need a shoulder - I have VERY broad ones - I tried a top on in Sears once and asked the lady in there what she thought - she suggested taking the shoulder pads out - I sort of mumbled that there WERE NO SHOULDER PADS IN THERE!!!! Feel free to use my HUGE shoulders !!!!

Grateful - we are still waiting for you - please??? Swannie - how are you? I will try again tomorrow morning as long as I get up early enough. Chopped liver - where are you?? (you know who you are LOL).

I have never joined one of these threads before but saw a lot of my loved ones on this one.
I just need to vent a second.
My life is all in turmoil again!!
I have to move again this weekend and it looks like my unemployment benefits may have run out!! (still to be determined , will not know for another week at least)
So long story short I am worried about how things are going to turn out!!

I guess I am asking for some prayers. (I could use them right now!!!!)

Wow that is great about the sheltie Sun. Hope it works out for you. The pizza sounds great. I love pizza......Hi Pro. Sorry you are having it rough. My unemployment ran out a couple months ago. Come hang out with us.....T glad you got some work. A little here a little there.....MB I don't know about that chicken. I may never eat chicken again after seeing poor sweet Fuzz today. Well I don't eat much meat anyway. Not sure what we will name the rooster. They didn't name the last one but the one before was Brownie. Our remaining hen is Cuddley. Have also had Spotty, Cookie and Chubby. Also Fuzz had a baby once that was just baby. They all got killed though.....well I'm ready for it to be bedtime...b

Crazy day here, trying to recoup from my rest. Dogs woke me up this morning at 6:30, and I DON'T do mornings (right, RC?) I got my new Southern Living Christmas edition magazine today, and it was chock full of wonderful holiday recipes. Must plan my Thanksgiving menu, then start planning Christmas dinner. I'm going to Jack's BD party Saturday. Can't wait to see them all. I'm so far behind here at home I'll be playing catch up all day tomorrow!
BTW, Sun, I finally gave up and started sending Hubs work shirts out to be done, so no more spending all day ironing. Actually probably cheaper than doing them myself, and I have a great laundry service right next to my Grocery store.

Hi all. Had another parenting class tonight and am very tired. Didn’t want to cry this time though. It’s getting better, I think – in my insides I mean. Tonight was just a couple of epiphanies but the whole thought process of looking back was not there – which was very good. Thanks for all the helpful posts regarding that.

MB, I sorry everything is so hard right now. I’m really happy you are on the antabuse though! As sucky as it all is, drinking wouldn’t make any of it better. Love and many hugs to you.

Rog, nice to have you back! What weirdness was that anyway? Sorry about the vet bill. Critters can be expensive, but I’ve declined having $500 worth of dental work done on my dog. If I had $500 to spend on somebody’s mouth, it would be mine. My past pooch cost about $1000 right off the bat (20 years ago) because she had parvo when we got her as a wee pup. She survived and lived a happy long life, but sometimes I really think about how obligated and responsible and attached I want to be anymore. It’s just so hard when something bad happens to them. My current pup came from a gal in Akron, OH, and I thought when I picked him up, “I’m just buying future heartache. Maybe I could live without the pup and not have the heartbreak later.” I took him home anyway.

Bird, ROTFL! I think a mousetrap would be a little over the top in this circumstance, but I laughed out loud reading that and Ruby’s suggestion of itching powder! I think I’ll try to act outside of (my usual) character and just put up with it. She’s not going to find anything interesting, and she’s older, has issues and is kind of set in her ways. If it makes her feel better to go through my trash, I’ll consider that I’m providing a service to a fellow human being every time I throw a scrap of paper away.

MB, what is the secret to fried chicken? I tried everything: Using every kind of oil (Crisco, peanut, lard, etc.), every kind of pan (including cast iron, which is really a pain to clean), every kind of coating, and I can’t make really good fried chicken – none that’s good enough to be worth the work anyway.

Then we could caravan up to Rubes........well Tops maybe you could provide some interesting reading in your trash to brighten up her day........Hey, last night I was in bed reading and a yellowjacket got in my pajama pants and stung me like crazy right above my butt crack. I thought it was a scorpion or spider and jumped up and took my pants off and tearing the covers off to find what it was. It hurts like hell still and the kids think this is the funniest thing ever!! The yellowjackets are really bad lately all over the place inside and out..............b
