T-shirts sound fun Bird--I have some of those fabric paints somewhere too--I used to buy canvas sneakers and fancy them up for my kids.
We didn't get the snow but it warmed up to 50 degrees overnight! Supposed to be 58 today! Crazy weather.

Morning everyone! Believe it or not, I went to sleep at about 9:00 last night. I would still be sleeping right now but hubby finally managed to get me to wake up to get ready for work. I honestly can't believe how much I slept this weekend. Oh well......

The t-shirts sound cute Bird. I really wish that I would be able to go. Just be sure to take lots & lots of pictures!!

Guys, you can pickle ANYTHING! :H (I had a brother-in-law who was pickled!). Seriously, I'm close enough to my past that I remember when we lived 'off the grid' before it became popular. All our food came from our farm, and there was nothing better than a piece of Chit's homemade bread, toasted on the fireplace in the kitchen and spread with the butter she churned and the blackberry jam made from the berries we'd suffered through redbugs to pick. Good memories.
I'm still sleepy this morning; Hubs threw me off my schedule yesterday by 'helping' me, and wanting a big breakfast when I'm usually still sleeping. Oh well, training for retirement I guess.
Thank you SO much to all who have sent me cards, PM's, and called. It's wonderful to have you in my family.
Just for smiles, when my late uncle's tractor quit for the last time, they left it in a field. The tree in the pic is growing THROUGH it!

What a weird, crazy, exhausting day! At least Hubs has called and said he wants my delicious (if you like it, and I don't!) oyster stew. He's bringing home the fixings. I've made my run to the bank. Have to call a tenant who is now late, and hate that. First I'll go out and do what I like, blowing leaves away, feeding my big dogs, tending to my little world. I've been tired all day, but I'll be better tomorrow, I promise.
So, I'll go to sleep early again, without having to get up early, and will hopefully sleep away this exhausion. Then on to plan my attack on the holiday meal, which means the world to me when I have all my family around my home. Cutting back this year on the cooking so I have more time with the grands. Thats what it's about anyway, right? (Except for SIL, who ADORES me for the food!! :H)
Let's all share what we're doing for the Thankstgiving season, at least those who are in the States. Remember, you young'uns, the older people in your life love just having you around their tables.

going to mom's where all the neighbors gather and bring a dish. It is usually delicious. Rubes, you should make peeps brings a dish too! Then back to Jax friday morning cause cub #1 has to work....besides I have no money for Black friday shopping and I HATE the crowds!!

well sue and i are cooking my favorite honey pineapple and little cherries and can potatoes bake alltogether and turkey beast.. which i really wasnt in the mood for ..but anything for sue and my two sons and uncle and my ex will be here and well eat and be happy

and well i posted this on another thread and worth repeating

well the holidays are right on top of us now and what we all need to remember is to keep our guard up and have a plan of attack in any gathering situation ...so lets all just do our best to stay on the path of your own choosing and that's what its all about how you can choose not to and still have a great Thanksgiving with family and good friends ...so with this i bid you one and all a happy and safe thanksgiving:l:l:l:l

I can not beleive it but I am going to be ALL alone. I could go to Key West to my brothers but its such a long ride. Older son is staying in Orlando to work and younger one is supposed to be with Dad since he was with me last year. All other family is out of state. Think I am going to pressure clean the house. Of course Ex still hasn't told the kid what his plans are so I may end up with younger son but that is fine with me.

Hallo all - I am finally home. Had to go straight to work from hospital due to doc running late (what a surprise!). Thought I was in the all clear til I got home and there is a message asking me to call them when I get their message - bummer - probably just low Vit D or something that they hadn't got back when I was there. Hate that. Will have to wait til tomorrow to call them now.

Ruby - I agree - are you taking your Meds? Don't make me come up there! (to quote someone on here that I happen to know that is older than me).

We go to m-i-l for thanksgiving. I take Maggie so she can see her cousins and we all have a great time. Hubs has to work but we usually have an early lunch so are finished by the time he has to leave. Still am waiting to hear from the sheltie rescue lady! The wheels of something (darn Topa) run slowly.

I am sure we will all be here tomorrow so am not going to wish everyone a good time on Thursday. Time - I am sorry you will be alone. I would say you could join us but it would be a LONG drive - the offer is there though.....

I need to go and unwind - I have been in a little while and fed Maggie (the most important thing to do when I get in from work LOL) and checked e-mail, but need to go and find something to eat. Might just go to bed after that and read. i am off tomorrow so will be around. love and hugs to all.
